That little curve thingy is called the Front Sight Spring, jus be patient and take your time in putting your marker together....or do this, super glue it and you dont have to worry about having it poppin off when placing the reciever halves together.

my way of putting it in- first lay down the spring the way it goes. then put the little hole on the front sight where the little point sticks out of the spring. then just move the sight untill it lines up with the hole where the pin goes, and drop in the short pin. carefully attach the feed elbow, and clip it onto the sight. to hold it in.

if you use superglue, glue the bottom of the spring only, and let it dry before putting the other receiver half on.

Try this:

  • Put the front sight spring in with the bottom of it in place and the top setting up just above where it is supposed to be.  (This will put the top just out of the recessed area it is supposed to set in; it will stay as long as you leave the right half of the receiver flat on your work surface.)
  • Put the marker togather.  Line everything else up, but don't worry about the front sight yet.
  • Put one screw in the very rear of the marker and tighten it down to where the rear halves of the frame  just meet, but do not tighten any farther.  (At this point the marker should look like it is almost together correctly, with just the front sight holding the front of the two halves apart.)
  • Push gently down on the front sight.  This should cause the sight and spring to snap down into the proper position and allow you to finish putting the marker together.

Be happy you still have it to be mad at. They are renowed for flying out and getting lost. You must have patience (and glue) grasshopper.

The superglue is a good idea.
