Hi guys and girls,
Here is my 98 custom. I know I need some more upgrades, but I just made a wood stock, which is awsome for now. The stock I made is lighter, more comftrable and way more solid than my M4 style stock, and the grips are really comftrable, and I can see down the sights with my mask on! (main reason why I made it)
Upgrades are:
- lapco bigshot 12"
- coiled remote
- polished internals & trigger mods (pen spring, trigger stop)
- custom wood stock that I made
Future possibilities (no special order):
- double trigger
- red-dot sight
- flatline (maby)
- regulator (not shure what kind)
Here are the pictures:

thanks guys!
The stock took about 50 hours +/- a few hours of work, mostly because the only tools I had to use where a hand saw, sand-paper, and a drill press.
evil_fingers, the stock screws on to the grip where the normal rubber grips screw on, which works really well, and is really solid. the wood sortof wraps around the grips. here are some pics of where the stock fits on the grip:

Nice job!
[Ignore this, I judged too quickly] ==>[In my opinion I think you should either paint the wood black or make a wooden foregrip that fits inside the foregrip mount.]
Actually, now that I look at it some more, I think you should leave it as it is. It's really fancy-looking without any paint covering it.
It looks comfy.
Normally I'm not into military simulation guns, but it looks like you made this-- not to look like a fancy firearm-- but so it suits you personally. That's what I like most about it.

thats pretty sweet.i was trying to make a stock for about a year and couldnt figure out any ways to get it on.i thight of puting it on a red dot scope, drilling through the end cap,and taking a bb gun stock abd holding it on to the gun with a worm gear clamp.but finaly i just gave in and bought one.
but urs is better than the ones i made...sigh

I like it when people put personal touches on their paintball guns. The stock you built is very detailed and intricut. I love the way it sits flush against your endcap and also that you made it wrap around your grip. So unique it is. Plus i love anything lapco, the only thingis maybe a r/t? You would have an ultimate gun then.

DarkOne, I had a plan on what I was going to do before I started to make it.
I wanted it to look like a mix between these two stocks when I was done:

The two stocks are from a VSS Vintorez and Dragunov SVD.
BTW, I'v always liked that gun off halo, and I think that stock would look cool on a Tippmann.

Good job, looks good.
Im still working on my Classic Carbine which is my 68 Classic in an old $5 SKS stock. Soon Im getting an M-1 Carbine 30rd clip, an M-1 wooden shroud, and some kind of carbine grips. Doesnt look like any actual gun, but its my custom project. The stock was originaly in terrible condtion. I carved it out, sanded, stained, and applyed 3 poly coats. The final finish looks great.
Theres a pic with my other guns in my sig. When I finish it ill post it. Again, good job.

I do, and i have a centerfeed gun. I use peripheral vision to see past the feedneck and hopper, and can aim very quickly, very accuratley. Thats why you see pros staring down the center of their guns with the back of their gun nearly touching thier mask. I do that too usually.

That is one of my favorite M98s now. (Don't tell my M98, she wouldn't like me saying that).
I really like how you attached the stock to the gun. The grips do look a little fat, but they really make the gun and the stock come together well. It definetelly doesn't look like a home made mod.
Did you say you were going to make your own wood for-grip too? That would make everything come together really nice. Hurry up and finish it, I can't get enough pictures.

10kpbler, Yes, I was going to make a fore-grip, but I decided not to because I dont need It. I made the stock mostly for function and cumfort, not that much for looks.
Also, the part of the grips that my hand goes on is the same thickness as the stock rubber grips, and they are really comftrable.
Shadowminion,
I saw those grips, they looked really nice. I was thinking of making grips like those too, but instead I made a stock.
