The Bt-16 is made by Ben Tippmann, or something along those lines. Crappy gun, company not affiliated with Tippmann.

The "new gun" that Tippmann released is called the Custom Pro. Rumors are spreading that a true "new gun" will be released at some point. You can find the Custom Pro at http://www.countypaintball.com - www.countypaintball.com

there have been rumors about a totally new gun for a while, but i fear they are just the same ones about the custom pro

and yeah basically the BT-16 is a 98 custom with a sight rail, stock and M-16 style barrel, only get it if ur looking for a milsim style marker, the barrel isnt worth the 100 or 120 bucks it says

Ben is their brother I do believe, or cousin, whatever.

The BT-16 is a a-5 variant with a vert feed, movable foregrip, and is lighter.

As what I have heard the BT-16 is a nice beginner marker.

"BT manufacturing is of poor quality", that is what i have heard in several forums...not sure if it is true, but take this statement with a grain of salt.

Cant talk about the marker, but I did get a chance to shoot an A5 with the BT16 barrel. I found it was a very good barrel. It really did surprise me. It was out shooting my friends 21 inch Thunder pig, and 14 inch Dye Excel. Not sure if it is worth $100+, but you never know.

We are putting together a barrel test this Saturday, before our Scenario game. Pretty much every barrel we can lay hands on for the A5. BT16, 2 Thunder Pigs, Dye Excel, Flat Line, Emipre Kit, and anything else we can get.

If they weren't affiliated with each other then why would they share the same last name "Tippmann" or design a marker closely relating the A-5. Or better yet have there company in the same state as Tippmann.

No offense but ANY barrel will be able to outshoot a 21" Thunderpig barrel.

Different milling on the inside of the gun, different name on the side of the gun and supposed to fix some flaws in the 98.  Also it can accomodate the new e-grip for the custom pro, and no it wont fit in a regular 98c

That is not such a good idea.  You are just wasting your time.  There are already websites that have done extensive (way more then you can do) reasearch on stuff like this.  In the end you will find out that the barrel to paint match affects accuracy more then anything.

E-Grip
