okay guys, me and my friends were talking about speedball yesterday, and teh issue of gun-hits came up.

let me set the situation first.

You are playing paintball...speedball or woodsball....and you set your marker down so that it is showing but you leave it(as a distraction), and only have your pistol left, if the opposing player shoots your gun, are you still out?

we know this is a pretty dumb idea, but is it a feasable loophole?

p.s. could you pick it back up?

In speedball the idea wouldnt work but, in woodsball...it could possibly work and thats if the opposing player already knows what your intention are in trying to decieve him..dont always under and over estimate the opposing player....the same goes for the opposing player and to tell you the truth....thats an old idea, Im pretty sure most experienced woodsballers would know that trick.

Anything TOUCHING your body counts as a hit. If you set your paintball gun down, it's not touching your body -- therefore it would not count as a hit.

your half right. Its mostly up to the rules of the field.

Tournament rules stipulate you can't move further than a few feet from any equipment excluding pods, and squeegies.
