Paintballs Kill Trees A recent study by PETA and ELF has uncovered some disconcerting information, sugesting that the paint found in all paintballs contains toxins hazardous to the bark of many North American trees ( http://www.peta.com - www.peta.com ). These toxins choke the life out of trees ranging from the youngest saplings to the oldest oaks. The whole process takes just three years and in that short time the trees have allready died (although it often takes several more years for the trees to acctaully appear dead).
Let me draw an analogy between this crime and smoking cigarettes. Smoking kills people and paintballs kill trees, in both cases death comes slowly yet painfully. I would ask you to do what I have done. Quit playing paintball! Please dispose of all your paintball equipment safely and cease playing immediately. I have sent a copy of this letter to all major paintball companies and would encourage you to send a similar letter. Please we are fighting against time, our environment is much more important than our recreational hobbies. Remember.....Save the Trees!!!! |

bloody hell, my dad, and mom (formerly was one) are foresters, and my dad has all kinda of paintball markers in his catologs for marking trees, theyre perfectly safe for trees, bark is made to protect the trees...btw, smear a stripe of vasaline around a tree, and its as good as dead peta is so hypocritical, they must use animal products, because everything they write is bull**edited** |

DOCS ACTUALLY RIGHT!!! my father, a forester, read this, laughed till he was blue in the face and wet in the pants, and then pointed out that paintballs are used for treemarking....which signals loggers to cut them down...therefore, paintball does kill trees...but not by poisoning them...i think we should check out doc's degree, i think hes a quack if paint could kill trees, with their large vascular systems, and cork cambrium to filter out toxins, what chance do people stand against these balls of death? by the way, paint is used to heal trees...helps speed healing and prevent scarring when you cut off limbs...so doc, if you wanna make up crap and have everyone believe you, your gonna need more money or a bigger gun |

quite possibly the most ludacris thing I've ever seen in my life. Anyway, Doc_ did what he came here to do. He got a bunch of people all riled up over what? Obviously nothing. All anyone had to do was just look at the source he attempted to site... clearly he was full of **edited** from the get go. Who **edited**ing cares? Even if paintballs destroyed the entire environment its not as though there isn't any alternatives. Show me the last national level tournament in the woods... (and scenario games don't count because nobody cares about them.) Also, this is the internet. C'mon guys... I can easily say my dad works for the National Forest WhoGivesADamn and pretend like I know what I'm talking about... that doesn't mean its true and it sure as hell shouldn't give me any more credibility over the other guy. Thats no better than the moron who thinks he's a medical genious because "his mom is a nurse". Anyone mistakenly take his word over anyone elses because they said that? Tell me "No" and you're lying. Anyway, to go back to my original point... props to Doc_ for his ability to get people all worked up over ultimatley nothing. It should be more of a lesson than anything else... don't believe everything that you hear. I don't care if anyone wants to try and pick apart my post for whatever reason. These forums seem to have a reputation for a reason, if you really want to make Doc_ look like a fool then just stop posting and ignore him. Paintball's are made out of a combination of fish oil, vegetable oil, and food coloring. Other then the fact it comes in a bio degradeable gelatin casing, its almost the same as what people used as a laxative up until the 50's The only way it kills trees, would be because of the excess toilet paper needed after paintball eating contests. For proof of this fact, kindly contact Nelspot and they will be happy to explain it to you in great and long winded detail. |

piss would have a hard time killing a tree, although it might wilt a 1-3 year old planting, but theres just not enough ammonia in your piss to kill a tree, in fact, its benefitial, thats why ammonia/nitrogen is used as fertalizer, so lets make it everyone piss on a tree day |
