I think the people at tippmann should give you some typhlon tape instead of "locktight" then if you mess up you can just re-do it simply ------------- 98 custom flatline barrel, response trigger double trigger comp air tank vertical adapter regulator rev-hopper |

I'll go ahead and post relevant to the topic. Yeah, taking out the valve assembly is a pain when allen wrenches and loc-tite are together. I've stripped two valve bolts doin it and had to grab the dremel. |

Yet another reason why the A5 is superior to the M98C!
I swear, you don't start noticing these things until you own the gun, then you start falling in love. Seriously though, it's kind of a biotch, but I would rather have it be too hard to take off than too easy! Besides, a lot of players aren't even gonna bother with any upgrades that involve taking out the valve/powertube. I know I didn't and my M98C has a decent amount of ups. |

Teflon tape isn't as permanent. It's also hard to make it invisible unless you use really small pieces. Loctite is great for many air fittings that aren't going to be moved... possibly forever. Almost all of the nuts on the right side of the receiver are loctited, for example, although they're not air fittings.
I use teflon tape because it's easier to put on there, but I do a lot of unscrewing parts on my gun. If you aren't careful, it can also disintegrate into a black, gooey mess inside whatever fitting it's on. ------------- Is God real? You'll find out when you die.
