I just read the topic about someone who found an mp3 player and was
curious as to what you all listen to. I myself like classic rock and
chill music such as 311. But I am open to more abstract music like Mars
Volta, I highly suggest them by the way their new cd is awesome if your
into that.

Blues, Blues-Rock, Jazz, Blues-Jazz, Classic Rock, Classical, Neo-Classical Metal, Metal, 70's Metal (Think of Black Sabbath), Rock, Hard Rock, Soft Rock, Soft-Blues-Rock (like Sting, for example), Stoner Rock (stuff like Pink Floyd, and what not), Speed Metal (like Metallica, basically metal that is really fast and heavy) and anything else I can get my hands on. The most awesome of those generes are underlined.
I like pretty much anything with a slight blues or classical (or both) influence. I don't know why, but there is just something about the blues sound that kicks major rear, in my opinion. The same holds true for classical, in my book. ------------- Most importantly - People suck. |

I do like some rap actually. I like early 90's gangsta rap. NWA and IceT stuff. I like it because of the fact back then it actually ment somthing. It was anti-police and anti-athority. Just like how I enjoy Punk Rock because its rebelous and anti-government, gangsta rap was the same way. The only differance being pissed off poor white kids made Punk, and pissed off poor black kids made Rap. Really, when you look into it, Punk and Rap are very simmilar. -------------

excellent, you can agree with them because people like different

necessarily like it and they don't have the talent that the bands that
we like do, but everyone enjoys certain things. To each his own as they
say. I suppose its similar to peoples taste in the opposite sex,
everyone has their own opinion, there is no right or wrong.

Personally, I haven't found music that I can relate to like this underground West Coast rap....just blows away all competition.
