What is the average life span for a home computer? I have had mine for about five years and I think it is time for a new one.

2-3 years left as is.

With upgrades it can stretch for a while more.

Not too bad.

I need the following new parts :

  • Processor (1.8 gegahertz)
  • OS
  • Sound Card
  • Speakers
  • CD drive
  • Mouse
Considering all my money is going into a new handheld and National Jamboree, I wont be getting these anytime soon.

My old computer was 5 years old and started to get outdated.  Had a 1,8ghz prossesor, 256mb of ram, crappy video card.

So I bought some new stuff recently.
