probably been posted before, let me know

how about hooking the cyclone up to an electric motor, mounted right underneath, so instead of air, a servo(i just cant think of how to spell it...oh well)  motor just rotates it each shot-that would lessen the chance of outshooting the cyclone-but thats only in high bps ranges anyways

activated by trigger of course, time it right, and it just might work

well at least this post does not mention explosive or things that blow up

It sounds like a neat Idea, but why would you want to hook up the cyclone to an electric motor? It works just fine how it is. The cyclone feed system feeds balls into the Marker as fast as you can pull the trigger, so all you have to do is make you able to pull the trigger faster and not do anything to the cyclone.

No kidding!!! That is the first thing I've read in a long time that made me crack up!  I don't even come into this area because so mant of the "ideas" are so stupid!!!

Anyway, about the electric cyclone idea... If it were incorporated into sinc with the E-grip it could work.  I don't see any reason for it though.  The cyclone is pretty efficient as it runs off exhaust co2... so why bother... pluss if it goes E, it takes more juice from your batteries... it is just not practical.

actually, the A5 doesnt shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. tippmann only said that because at that time there was no available upgrade that would allow the A5 to shoot past 15 bps. but since the releasing of the WAS board the A5 can shoot up cycle up to 30 cps. unfortunately, the cyclone feed can not reliably cycle past 17 cps. this would cause the idea for a new cyclone or a "electric" cyclone to be thought of. if that idea was actually put forth, i would buy the upgrade. you would just have to find something to plug the hole where the gas that feeds the cyclone comes out.

it could run off o its own battery mabye. then the WAS board would make A5 users happy.

well, if anyone wants to try it, be my guest

i definitly dont kno0w nything about electronics so i wouldnt want to be the one to try it.

make a center feed for the A5 then hook up a Halo B to it or somehow find a way to have the Halo hooked onto your A5 like the cyclone and you could have the look of the Halo B shell on the side also. It sure would make up for the look of the regular A5 hopper.

you can get center feed on your A5 for $99 at kpcustoms. but then you have to do something with the cocking. it cant go on the side, it has to be rear....and you need something from the lpk or something like that. if yur really interested in a vert feed, then pm jeep98custom. he has one...or had one im not sure, and ask him anything about a vert feeded A5.

im confused-do you think I was trying to put a electric hopper on the A-5?

It can be done...and I can picture it in my head, you would need a very strong 9v or 12v motor jus to spin the claws of the Cyclone and place it directly underneath.....and its about time Klaus came up wit an idea where no one is flamin him...keep it up Klaus, youre on the right track.

^well, the motor could spin it easier if you took out the manual knob pushy thingy. and then take out the ratchet. then it would spin freely, and it wouldnt take much for a motor to spin it.

no, i was responding to the guy who mentioned center feed on an A5. it can be done. then you wouldnt have to have an electric cyclone, just an electric hopper. but that project would cost over 400 dollars if you got the WAS board with it.

well, i am pretty good with motors, maybe i'll try it

i built a fishing reel that runs off a small motor, geared down, beauty of it is, its removable, it just takes the place of the crank, pops right in and out-The AutoReel Mark III-won grand champion at the MN state fair!

there's gotta be a electronics whiz somewhere in this forum, let him have at it

I am thinking that you could disable the line of CO2 that is feeding the cyclone and rig up the internala of an empire reloader with sound actication underneath the cyclone. Instead of the the empire reloader being hooked to its paddles just hook up the motor to the paddels of the cyclone.

u dont need an electronics wizz to build this thing. all ya need is to hook the cyclone up to the motor with a torque activated switch in between. so all this does is when there isnt any pressure on the paintball (the gun is ahoting and the chamber is being fed) the circuit closes and starts the motor. the cyclone turns untill there is pressure on the paintball i.e. the gun isnt being shot and the paintball is waiting to be chambered. this way the cyclone could keep up with any gun. i dont know of a simpler way of describing it
