I am really interested in getting the E-grip for my A-5. I understand it will increase your rate of fire and all that. But how? I mean is there a selector switch on the side of it or something? I shouldn't have to take it apart to go from full-auto to three round burst do I?

i dont know exactly hw it works but i can tell you everything else about it. ok well to answer your question, no you dont have to take it apart to change the mode of fire. in the front of the grip there are two hole. one fits the a phillips head screw driver, the other fits a flathead. the phillips is for the mode of fire(semi,3 shot, turbo, response, auto) and the flat is for the rate of fire(adjustable from 1-15).  too change them you need the smal kind of screwdrivers, the really small kind.  you will never have to take it apart to do anything, not to install a trigger, change the battery or anything. the only time you would have to take it apart is if there is a technical problem, which never really happens.

I can tell you how it works. It's called a SEAR TRIPPER. What it does is there is a solenoid that pushes an armature pin upward to hit the sear and cause the gun to cycle.

Layman's- An electric "motor" pushes a metal pin to fire the gun. Electricity moves faster than your finger, so it basically "pulls" the trigger for you really fast, depending on what mode you have it on.

Thanks for the responses but you haven't answered my question. Not your fault, I didn't state it cleearly enough. What I mean is how do I chjange from full auto to three round burst to turbo? Is there a selector switch like say on  an actual battle rifle?

i answered your question in my first comment. you use a screw drive to turn a little screw thats attached to the board. this can be done without taking apart the grip.

Ok then, Now I have another question: what happens when the battery dies? Does the gun not function at all or does it just become semi-auto?

the gun doesnt function at all. and dont worry about it running out in the middle of a game or something like that because that wont happen.
