I'd go with a Tippy instead, but P's are OK.  A lot of rental gear at facilities are Piranha... but if you are going to buy that grade of marker... including JT, Viewloader, Kingman, and especially Brass Eagles... you have got to be ready to do a ton of maintenance!  They will work fine until you start losing pieces.  Keep them tight, clean and extemely well oiled.  You have to do this to any marker, but if you want the least required maint, buy a Tippmann!

HE DID NOT ASK TO BE BOMBARDED WITH SALESPEOPLE FOR TIPPY!!!

Anyway pirahnas are a good begining electro marker. They do require taking care of though if he were ever to upgrade to a higher end marker he will have to do the same thing. Tippy's make you spoiled as far as maintenence goes.

Don't go for any pirahna crap.  Save up your money and get a Smart Parts Ion.
