I'm new to the forum, but I've been playing PB for 4 years now.  Does anyone have tips on this?   Is there another way to keep it the right temp.?

if you do that it acts more as an insulator for the cold... like a soda in a foam hand cooler

BEst option is getting a good expansion chamber so it is all gas when it eneters your gun. Turn your velocity down to account for those spikes.

All in all if you get serious about playing in cold you should look at HPA. It is an all around good choice.
