This is my 98C, its a couple of years old but I am finally done doing all my work to it. I love the way it feels, I have a sling on it so that it sits the weight on my shoulder and I can move with it tucked into my shoulder like an M4. Yes, it has an e-bolt on it so I can lay suppressing fire from a distance with the flatline. It really makes for a good combination, I use it in speedball as backfield and sometimes mid and in woodsball as the fire team or recon element since I can pin them further out then they can effictively reach me.

This pistol is a back-up, anyone that has ever had a ball bust in a flatline knows what a pain it can be to clean out and although it doesn't happen often I like to be prepared for when it happens. All I have to do is tuck under some cover and squeege it and if someone charges me then I still have something stop them with. Plus its fun to duel with it or pull it for those tight corners that can be a pain to negotiate with that long Tippmann.

The Talon was my first gun and it still works great. I like to take it out sometimes and show the new guys that it's the skill, not the hundreds of dollars worth of equipment he has, that makes a good player. I have been known to pull it out to school a smart-mouth kid with more money than brains.

Anyways, what do you think?

Huck

Dude, that talon idea is sick, I wish I was here to watch you kick these kids butts with it.

People have remotes, but they never show their harness'.

I like the 98, gets the job done, you ever use any other barrel then the flatline and the stock ?

No trigger mod?

Harness doesn't fit my new crossfire tank so Im in the market for another one at the moment.

I have used a few other barrels before but never owned one.

The ebolt makes the trigger an adjustable switch. I have mine set to be more sensitive then the click of your mouse probably is so when I switch to full auto I can easily release 3 round burst, single shots, or let loose a good ole' fashion spray-and-pray chain of paint.

You should mod the crap out of that talon.

Nice tippy, not a fan of flatlines though.

You are correct, the only reason I have it is because it's a gift. I would probably never spend $150 on a hopper but since someone was so generous I could only be polite and use it.

But to the others comments I know that some people love the flatline and others dont, it's all in the preference of how and what you play. My best friend loves to have me as his back-up because our tactics and my flatline allows me to keep them pinned so he can move up real close for the kill, but personally he hated the flatline when he used it. For my style of play it works wonders I can hit them before they can reach me and I can send enough balls their way (if necessary) that I can be sure to be gone by the time they get in range.

I thought about a Palmers not to long ago, but I figured it to be unnecessary between the regulator that comes with the ebolt and the HPA. Still might do it one day, but for now I am satisfied.

But I sincerely appricate your comments,

Huck

He explained why he got the hopper, if you took the time to read all his posts before posting your response.

Alot of people these days play speed-ball and have superspeed gun.If you are one of the few pump players left, put this as ur sig.

12 gram changer

If you look closely at where the stock and end cap thing meet, it appears that he modded it to slip over the ebolt.

Awesome 98. Is that stock really worth the money, does it really help? I just use my tank as a stock.

You are correct. I had the local shop lathe the stock so it fits over the bolt and then he milled the bolt and put a screw into the stock to keep it mounted to the bolt. It will turn a little right and left but it doesn't come off.

And to the other question, I dont like the weight of the tank on the marker, I prefer the balanced fill of a real weapon so I put my tank in a harness and use the stock to support the weapon. I like it that way, I use to just use the tank but I never really liked it.

I hadn't thought to record me shooting it, thats a good idea I will see what I can do, but I think all I got is a digital camera that records 20 sec with no sound, if I can get it away from the little lady.

It did when I had it set for 13bps, someone told me it was the flatline (dont know about that though). I turned it down to 11bps and have had any problems with it since. Out of 500 rounds I might chop 1 or 2, its really not all that bad.

It didnt take to long, I just kept shooting and turning the barrel until they were flying straight and then I took a marker and marked it so all I have to do is line it up.

cdacda13, if you cant see it then follow the link on the original post to the host website and look at it there if you want.
