^I assume that's your kid, that's awesome if so.
Anyways, I would agree about the mask fan...it really shouldn't be necessary if you have a good anti-fog lense.
If you buy a mask that offers it, make sure you get a thermal lense as it will eliminate fogging.
Or, you could get a V-Froce mask which is only a single-pane lense, but resists fogging better than any other brand of mask/lense on the market, thermal or otherwise.
Basically, the mask fan is only for eliminating fogging, which isn't an issue on a quality mask/lense.

^^Ageed^^, I have personally tried two different fans out and they do work but they are way too loud and buzzy. A heard of buffalo could stampeed you and you wouldn't hear them until they were right behind you. Go with the better antifog mask.

Thermal lenses all the way. Saved my life. When I would get deep in a bunch of vines and the mask started fogging, I would have to walk off the field. I would even wipe my lenses to try to stay in the game but it was unbearable. When I got the thermal lenses, I didn't have to worry anymore.

Anti-Fog lenses to not work.
You will want a Thermal Lens to combat fogging, the fans usually can't keep up.
BUT, the fans are good for keeping persperation out of the goggle. I use both the thermal lens, and the fan and its a great combinitaion.

Have you ever used a V-Force mask? They only use a single-pane(NON-thermal) lense, and have been proven to resist fogging better than any thermal mask on the market.
So, not only do single-pane anti-fog lenses resist fogging well, they do it better than the next-best thermal lense!
Try a V-Force and you will see the light! Down to JT masks!

JT masks single-pane lense sucks, while V-Froce shows them how it is done...don't need 2 lenses when one done correctly will do the job.
But yes, JT single lense suck, while V-Force doesn't even offer a thermal lense yet never fogs...I know which one I'd buy(I already did).

I was speaking mostly from my expierience with several types of JT Masks, but I have also used several V-force Shields and have expierienced fogging with them as well.
Not to be mean, but next time don't assume someone has or hasn't tried a product before you try to insult them. And by the way, this thread is about mask fans, thanks for keeping on topic.

OK, so maybe you didn't think about what you were typing... Your breath would be aproximately 95-99°F? We're lucky to see that temp June-August here in Michigan. We play anytime the temp outdoors gets above 40°F... and if we dress properly, we are perfectly comfortable. Some of you warmer climate types are very spoiled! It never occurred to me that a high end single pane lense could perform better than a double thermal. Shut-up and learn and don't be so thin skinned.

One thing people on this site know me for, if any do, is that I really don't give a crap how many stars you have....I've told MODS where to shove it when I was only standard, so don't try and use my status as Platinum against me....I never asked for it, and no one's complained about me having it except you.
Thank you for the support Xspyderman, we have had disagreements but that doesn't mean I don't respect you. Basically, you love your A5Flatline and I disliked mine....that disagreement is good for everyone to see so we can discuss the good and and points of the barrel. Anyways, thanks for sticking up.

That is entirely incorrect. From this statement, I do not feel you know what you're talking about, and really don't care if I insulted you....I've seen you try and dish it out around the forum but when you get the worse of it you whine....spare me.
So sorry to insult you, but I had to call you on your BS blanket statement which I quoted(crappily) above.
No hard feelings, but I would respect you more if you weren't such a whiner.

Funny how when i used a V-Force Mask it fogged...
Hrm...
As per the whining, i would have taken the PM you sent me seriously untill that is, i saw what you posted in here. Its odd how you want to call truce in PM and said the only reason you got pissy with me is you think i made a smart ass comment about you in some previous post, but here in thread you talk all tough and call me a whiner.
Whatever bro, fact of the matter is, V-force single lenses fog just like JT lenses, its happened to me, and several other people i play with.

I have a JT Spectra Thermal with a fan and I love it. I wear glasses and the only thing that keeps them from fogging up is that fan. It doesn't do you any good to have a clear goggle lens if your glasses are fogged up.
The noise it makes is only an issue occasionally like when I'm creeping through the woods. But most of the time it doesn't matter.

You said "anti-fog lenses don't work."......you are wrong.
Why can't you admit that?
You can go back and whine some more, but it's not gonna change anything...you made a dumb-ass comment and got called on it.
Why does my above quote have to be taken in a negative way? That's your problem. I simply asked you if you'd used them, because you don't know what you're talking about.
A normal person would have just responded saying "Actually, I have used V-Force masks, and this is my experience with them."
Instead, you are a whiny brat who can't handle the truth, and has some whacked-out mindset that I am picking on you.
The fact is, if you hadn't made the wildly icorrect assumption that "anti-fog lenses don't work", then I wouldn't have had to correc you on it....have I ever given you a hard time for giving good info?
I really am not gonna waste my time trying to baby you and kiss your butt when you seem to be someone I wouldn't really like anyways.
You're welcome for getting the correct info given to you...try and be more careful with the misinformation you kick next time and I probably won't rip you a new one. I apologize if you are truly that hurt by what I say, but the truth does hurt....why do you think you can be rude to me and I'm gonna kiss your butt? And to make it worse, when I give you a taste of your own medicine, you basically run away crying.
If you check the times, I posted before I PM'd you, so nothing's changed.
That PM was me trying to extend my hand to you in peace, but since you don't accept that, or even be a man and respond to me, you have confirmed that you are a whiny little punk that has nothing to offer me but a pissing contest....you are not getting anymore apologies from me.
I am officially done with you.....you aren't on my level.

fact still remains that i've used V-force anti-fog lenses before and they have fogged on me, so in my expierience i do know what i'm talking about, and they do fog. I'm not going to admit they work, when they did not work for me. Why would anyone say a product works better than any other product when it didn't?
I was going to pm you and move this to private, but when i saw that you bash in public, but call a truce in private that tells me that you are just a whining punk as well who tries to look tough in the fourm to save face. If you were a "man" then you would have just sent the pm calling a truce and let it be, there would have been no need to keep this going as long as it has been. My posts have been a direct response to yours.
This has gotten much father then i wanted it to go, and there honestly hasn't been any need for it. You basically said i don't know what i'm talking about, i responded that i did, and your comment was uncalled for. That should have been it, a pm truce would have been fine, it was you that chose to take it to the next level and start a flame war here.
You say i got called and can't take what i dish out, but that's exactly what you are doing, so i guess that makes us both whiners by your definition then...
Good luck with your temper, and i hope that court thing works out for you.

I have had a JT nVader and I currently have the Vforce Profiler. Neither one ever fogged. The only reason I could see the use for a fan is if you have the Shield which covers your whole head and is too hot. Since most masks are open in the back, they breathe fine. You do not need a fan to keep from fogging, espically when they are very loud.

Actually the V-Force Shield is like any other standard mask in that it does NOT cover your whole head...just the face area.
I think you may be thinking of that JT helmet deal...I don't think V-Force even offers a mask that covers the back of the head.
I know my V-Force Shield has some awesome ventilation; I really never feel stuffy or hot when wearing it.
V-Force = Good ventilation

I haven't tried the V-Force maskes, just JT thermals, and I sweat so much that they fog, or if they don't fog they sometimes get actual condensation on them. I think that even the V-Force lenses would get that. I don't keep my fan running all the time, since it's so loud. I turn it on to clear out the wet air, and then turn it back off after a few seconds.
If you wear glasses, it's about the only way to keep them clear. The anti-fog sprays wear off pretty quickly. That does seem to be a pretty big negative for the otherwise great masks that can't have a fan fitted to them. At least for eye glass wearers.
