41c for that cpu is pretty high for watercooling. my cpu is about the same as his and i get 28c idle on air

If your CPU was at 88c it would suffer thermal failure after daily
use. Yours is in Farenheit and the standard measure of
temperature among competent system builders is Celsius; hence why 41
degrees isn't all that impressive (I used to get lower than that, but
that was when I still had 3 Tornadoes in my case).

My 3200+ idles at 48*C. Under load it can get up to 78*C. My GPU idles at about 58-59*C and up to 80* under load. I already had one gpu ram fry on me so once it gets over 74-75* I shut everything down for a little while.

my athlon XP 2500+ overclocked to 3200+ idles at 28c and load at 38c.

Ok, I looked at a Celius to Fahrenheit chart and my computer is actually around the 30~35 degree range.

Nope. I do have 2 case fans as well but that doesnt help.

78c is dangerously high, you should really try reseating the HSF and putting some thermal compound on it.

AMD 2400+ in it? thats pretty low, mines 7200 and i sometimes wish for
faster.
