Hi, I'm new here as well as into paintballing. I'm planning to get an A-5, but I'm not sure what upgrades I should get. I'm just planning to get it for recreational playing at a local Paintball Arena. My idea was to get Coiled Remote Line, Stealth Hopper, Double Trigger, Flatline, and a Scope. I'm getting the Scope just for looks, probably gonna be a 3.5" Scope at 86' @ 100 yards. I wasn't sure if I should get an RT, though am still not even sure what it actually does. An E-Grip would do me good though I doubt that they would like me use an auto while other have a semi-auto.

Thanks in advance.

If you get an A-5, buy an inexpensive barrel and thats it. Play w/ it like that for a long while. Then you will know exactly what you need. Example: more firepower, more range, cooler look. You won't waste your money on things you find out you don't want. Never even think about buying something that you don't know what it does. If you have upgrade questions, check the Uber Upgrades FAQ and the Systems and Accessories descriptions on the Tippmann site.

Whats wrong with the Flatline Barrel, wouldn't that be a good enough upgrade. I know what it does. It increases the range of the shot at a supreme distance. How about, that I just get the A-5 w/ a FlatLine. Wouldn't that be a good enough basic combo I can work with.

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Your setup looks to be Woods/Senario. It won't work very well for speedball if you are planning on trying it out later. Hella has the right idea if you need to have a gun that plays both.

hey if you have the money go ahead and buy a new barrel its only going to improve your accuracy, and its more fun to play when you can shoot straight.

you would be better seved by a red dot sight the kind that looklike a scope.. you could actually use it and you still get a cool look to it

yea man don't rush into hooking up your gun and wasting money if you don't like it. You should start off the gun with what u need for it to run and maybe a better barrel so u can shoot straight while you play... because theres some people that hate the flatline and some people that love it.

Oh I see. Well its just that me and my friends were planning to go paintballing and once I visited the site of the Paintball Arena, I was in shock. After I saw some of the paintball guns and what not, I was into it just like that. I also saw some Tippmann Guns that were tricked out which inspired me to get one for myself and start playing soon. What is the concept of Speedball and Woodball anways?

Thanks in advance.
