ok...this is calld the dye dmc. they made it out of the same material that the ion was made o of. So dye got pissed and sued smart parts sayin they took the material. weenies...

Yeah, the shell of the Ion has nothing to do with the reason Dye is suing SP. As Bravecoward said, SP "took" dye's spool valve design. Dye says both the Ion and Shocker are infringing Dye's Patent. ------------- You call the Eagle, Eagle does the rest. |

I mean, they didnt physically go and take a spool vavle from dye, they just made their own. And only some parts are suppose to be composite, to make it extremely light. ------------- You call the Eagle, Eagle does the rest. |

I wish all these idiots would shut up already.
1. Dye Matrix Composite, for anyone who is too dense to read the 5 or so posts with this name in it. 2. $1700 is the MSRP, it will realistically be around $1500 or so. The DM5's MSRP was about $1500 or $1600, now you get then brand new for $1200. 3. Dye didnt invent the spool valve. It was first used in Gen-E matrices. Dye and a bunch of other companies made their own upgraded versions of this matrix, then the DM4 which has a different bolt (same concept though), the 03 shocker uses it, now the Ion, etc... Its all the same crap cause no one wants to take the time to make some new design. I think the DMC looks cool, but it is a DM5 with a new shell in the end. Oh wait, wasnt that what the DM5 was to the DM4? Jesus Dye sucks. ------------- ///AMG What? |

dye is just made that smartparts is makin so much money off the ion. Dye needs to get over it..those weenies they already make enough.
