Man with 5 firing modes its awesome I especially like the Auto Response and the Turbo can be tricky too.I bet I can get 25 bps out of it on Auto Response.It has adjustable ROF as well.The new stock barrel might as well be a Tippmann Werks barrel without the Tippmann name on it. ------------- http://img139.echo.cx/my.php?image=10011370qo.jpg">

Ok because I was doing some scaled photos and it looks like the rocket cock 2 will over lap the end of the "Custom Pro" jewel. Does that stick out very far ? Also, where can I get a rear cocking system ? -------------

i hate to break it to you my friend but you arnt gonna get 25 bps....i had a 98 custom with an R/T dropforward and halo TSA like you, however, the R/T would fire so fast the bolt would chop paint and the bolt wouldnt be able to cock back fast enough. It basically turned into liek 6 round burst because i had to keep recocking. Unless you buy a new bolt i think your gonna run into the same problem. TSAs only feed about 14 bps....not 25 ------------- http://www.imageshack.us">

Okay, Tippmanns can not shoot faster then 15 BPS. Its mechanically impossible, due to the way the ram cycle is set-up. You CAN NOT shoot over 15 BPS, unless you modify the ram cycle, and make it shorter. nice gun though, start milling it. 7/10 |

I noticed the polished internals. I wonder If I could just buy the reciever halves and then buy the E-grip for it and use all of the internals from my 98 Custom. They look the same to me. My Custom Pro is coming in either this week or next week. Oh and for those who want to just buy the receiver halves and the e-grip, you can't forget about the sear! |
It was shipped to UPS today and they should be bringing it to me very soon. I just can't wait for the gun to get here. From the looks of the pictures, It looks like Tippmann did a good job on having the internals polished. I haven't seen the internals of one in black so I will just have to wait and see if the same results come out. It should though.Posted By: County

I think the Custom Pro is a step in the right direction.
I wouldn't expect you to trade in your current Model 98 Custom for it, but if you're new to the sport looking for a marker, I would take the Custom Pro over a 98 Custom. Same way I would pick a 98 Custom over an original Model 98. All the people complaining that Tippmann only modified the existing marker don't understand. It wasn't meant to inspire people to upgrade from their existing marker to the new one. It's meant for the thousands of people who are just getting into the sport every day. The people who don't already have a marker and are looking for their first one, or for people who are upgrading from their unreliable spyder clones to something that won't keep breaking down on them. Its just awesome.i bet it will shot better than 15 per sec. I was haveing trouble chopping paint untill I changed a setting on my loader from closed bolt to open bolt now I don't have that problem.I shot 3 loaders full of cheap paint and never broke a ball.Thats good for the paint I buy.I like the auto response mode best.Full auto eats up some paintballs.Turbo mode is awesome aswell.Semi is just like shotting a custom 98.The new barrel is a whole lot better than the one that comes with the Custom 98.It is like a 11" tippmann werks barrel without the name on it.The differance is you can get the Werks barrel in 12" to 16".The stock barrel for the Custom Pros are 11".I do like the silver color on the Custom 98 better the Pro looks gold allmost.I would buy another just to say I have 2 I like it so much.I put a Purple Dice on the side cocking knob fo looks(not in pictures)I think it looks hot on my Pro.I would rate it a 9/10 and thats just because its no good for tourney play. ------------- http://img139.echo.cx/my.php?image=10011370qo.jpg">
