Hey! Since some of you probably saw in Tolgak's thread, my girlfriend is pregnant with my kid. She's about 5 weeks along and is getting an abortion. I just want to ask that you don't give me *stuff* about the whole abortion thing because trust me, I'm not real thrilled with the fact of knowing that my kid is soon to be dead. I told her that I thought an abortion would be the way to go seeing that she needs to finish high school and I need to go through college and get a decent job. Plus neither of us can afford a kid right now and it'd rip our families apart. But I also told her that the ultimate decision was up to her and that I'd support her with whatever her decision may be. And if that decision was to keep it, that I'd love the thing so much that he'd hate me for it and would continue loving her more and more. But she has made her decision and we are going to abort the prenancy. It's not easy, I'll tell you right now that it's a lot easier to say getting an abortion isn't a big deal until you actual have to deal with one. This sucks to say the least. I hope none of you have to deal with this in your lives. FWI, I'm getting a tattoo in memory of him, I don't know exactly what it will be of yet but it will incorporate his name, Jackson Michael, and his DOD. And BTW, I'm just referring to "him" even though the gender is unknown. And once again...don't patronize me about the abortion. If you want to do that, pull your head out of your ass first. Thanks.

Do any of your parents know about the pregancy? I agree with you, people don't know what a person feels about the abortion till they have to deal with one.
I never got an abortion, but I knew people that had and it is a rough time for them . |

Now it's going to be hard for either of them to finish highschool, since they both already had done poorly. Also, neither of their families are that well off, it's going to be tough. After seeing what they have to go through, I can understand completely why your girlfriend made that decision. |

flame you, but I will blame you. If you knew that having a child
was a possibility when you started "interacting" with your girlfriend,
why did you do it in the first place? I inferred from your post
that you are in college and she is in high school. That makes you
at least 18, I'm guessing more like 20. You are smart enough to
know that this was a possibility from the start. Personally I
believe you shouldn't be "interacting" until you are married, that way
a child isn't a burden at all, but a joy. I personally beg you to
reconsider your options. Please put the child up for adoption or
something like that. Give him a chance at life. Please

He is somewhat correct. I'll support you in everything you do, but supporting someone and supporting there decisions are two seperate things. Forgive me if I sound shallow, but the tattoo is probably not the best thing. First off, I know you feel quilty for what your doing, but the way I see it, the tattoo is a way you feel you can lessen the guilt for doing what you are. Lawless, you have no idea how much respect I have for you. You have been faced with adversity and a tough life and are always striving to keep it on track. So far I think youve done a damn fine job. As for the kid, I know it isnt going to be easy, but in all honesty an abortion is probably the best way to go. Putting it up for adoption could be worse then aborting it, as you will always know that somewhere out there a kid was yours, and you will probably want to find him/her eventually which will probably turn out badly for more then a few people. About the tattoo. I beg you reconsider this. You are most likely 18 and getting a tattoo now means having it forever. You do not need a tattoo to remind you of what is going on in your life, because these are the things you will not forget, ever. If you would like it removed, it will cost more money then you would think, and a lot more time too. Best bet is to stay away from tattoos.

I don't understand abortion. Life is precious. I hope you and your girlfriend seek counseling to help you though the pain. I think if you don’t want a child then adoption is the only answer. There are many people in the world that cannot have children and would love to have the one that you are going to kill. I look at my 9 month old and cannot imagine having aborted her. Trust me, no tattoo is going to replace “him” saying dada for the first time. |

Hey guys! Thanks for the support...some of you. To the others of you who chose to completely ingnore my polite request to not give me *stuff* about abortion...nevermind...if you like to be rude and inconsiderate...it's more your problem than mine. None of you know how much thought I've put into this, I didn't tell my girlfriend to get one so I could "run away" from my problems, I told her that whatever she decided to do, I'd support her 100%! And yes...I realize that what I did was irresponsible...but...I guess there's no real legitimate excuse. I take full responsibility for my actions and always have. I NEVER run!!! That's how I live my life! And like I said...it's not like I'm thrilled about the idea of killing my kid. I never thought abortions were all that big of a deal until now...my eyes have really been opened to what people have to go through when considering something like this. And about the name...before we even had this on our plates...we discussed what names we liked. I said that for a girl, I liked the name Grace and for a boy, Jackson. Then after me having said that, she added Michael to Jackson and the result was Jackson Michael. Michael Jackson was never on either of our minds and had no hand in how we assembled the name. But anyway...if I continue...I may never stop...so enough for now and more for later. Thanks again...to some of you.

I also think you should put it up for adoption. I know a person who her and her husband have been waiting for a baby to adopt for about 6-9 years(i can't remeber), but she finally got one last week. It's a cute little baby too |

First off, anyone whos been hounding the guy about his situation because he didnt use protection or shouldnt have been doing what he did in the first place, well hind-sight is 20-20 aint it? salem change ur font to a darker color, thats hard to read against the light background. and all u who say put it up for adoption, im with u but i wont say it loudly because lawless has his mind set. in my opinion, nothing anyone can do will change his mind besides him and his girl, so leave them to it. i will say this last thing tho, and that is ive always been against abortion in general after seeing a video of it. they put a needle or sumthing of the sort in the babys head and it bleeds to death, hence the girls bleeding for a few days after cuz its sort of like a big period. -------------

^^^^^ Hey blue monkey. Just thought Id correct you here. What you were refering to is partial birth abortion. That isnt done this early in the pregnancy. And the bleeding isnt from the baby. Its, as you said, like a big period. Its the shedding of the capillary filled lining of the uterus. Its sheds after the body realizes it isnt going to need the extra blood flow to the uterus to nourish the baby. -Kasey -------------

I respect you for the way you've handled this... and how its obvious that you've learned from this in what looks to be the hardest way possible. I think you should wait more than a month and a half though. You girl friend could just be scared and might regret this in the long run. After all, adoption wouldn't be a bad route.
