I am just wondering something. My A5 is sorta beat up. It has served me well, and is now starting to get some scratches.

Does the gun rust? I know the handles, and the "chasis" (the two plastic halves of the gun" don't rust. That being said, my sprocket where the gas feeds the cyclone is scratched. Does this rust? If so, can I get a replacement?

Ok, why do three damn people need to tell him this is the marker gallery?

This is paintball man. Your gun is going to get scrathes, but never fear, its either aluminum or stainless steel. You dont need to replace it just because of a scratch. It wont rust.

Eh, I am not concerned about the fact that it is scratched. Its a gun - a **** good one at that. Someone had told me that it rusted, and I got "worried". Just looking for some confirmation one way or another.

Even if it does its a Tippman. If it goes bad they will probably replace it for free, or atleast for cheap.

It's aluminum

Go to the hobby store and buy a little bottle of Testers flat black model paint.

works great to touch up nicks and scratches.

Hey!

The only things that can rust are the drive spring/pin, rear bolt, linkage arm, valve pin, cyclone springs, sear, and the reciever bolts.

But the only thing out of all of those that you'll probably ever see get any rust on them are the reciever bolts which clean up quick with some steel wool.

Everything else is oiled or should be at all times, so rust shouldn't be an issue.

The Reciever halves are case aluminum, the barrel adapter is milled aluminum and everything else is plastic...none of which will rust.

You're fine.
