Yea, my I saw my friend use a paintball gernade, and it hardly did anything... just like a little burst of paint, not like some huge exploding burst of paint like some say.... I don't think it's worth it......

Not, not really. They are fun to play with but you can't use them in games. They don't do much.

Tippmann grenades are weak. You want to use grenades from atomic ordnance. I would rather use a grenade to take out a bunch of players behind a bunker than wasting 4 pods of paint. You end up saving money too.

I use paint grenades and smoke grenades every scenario I play. If you get good grenades they are worth it. Tippmann's grenades are the worst. If they would switch the rubber plugs for ball barrings, then they would work far better. (hint hint. Listen to me Tippmann!!!!)

You can lob a grenade over an object/bunker/walls of forts. You can toss them in bunkers, which is very effective. I think its the Wet Willie G5(??) that we use at our field. The Atomic Ordinance grenades are also very good, but they are sensitive and will go off in you pocket if you forget their there and decide to go prone, or something like that.

Some (few) scenarios let you use a grenade to temporarily disable certain types of armord vehicles.

EDIT:Grenades work just fine. You just have to use something other than Tippmann's. Sqaud Busters are the worst thing Tippmann has ever made.

Play paintball with your gun not a grenade....

one of my friends made a run with a bouncing betty style nade WITHOUT his gun and got 2 people out and he didn't get shot.  Another one of my friends had a grenade thrown at him and the kid forgot to pull the pin!  My friend just simply lobbed it back after he pulled the pin and got half the other team out (6 on 6 game).  I have had rather good experience with the tippmann nades.  you have to take the netting off of the nades before you throw them.  I would only use them when necessary.  They're $6 for god's sake!

Dude, I have tried everything I can, to get the Squad Busters to work. Take off the net and squeeze the ends, and still nothing. If Tippmann would switch the plugs out, the Sqaud Buster, would most likely be the absolutly best grenade on the market.

I wonder if any one has suggested that to them.

Us scenario players use markers, pistols, grenades, smoke, assault vehicles, rocket launchers, night vision, and any thing else they can toss in.

Makes the game more interesting. If I was a straight woods baller, I would probally not be playing. Speedball isnt for me, not fast enough, and not in good enough shape. So I do the scenarios. I dont use anything but my primary in a regular woods game.

If they don't work the first time you try, try them again another day.  I've had some not work all that well, but more often, if you can throw decent, they work okay.  Once in a while they really do the job well.  I think a lot of people expect more than they should... they are only as good as your arm.  I chucked one down a ravine and took out three guuys once.. chucked one into a bunker and painted all three guys in it... they work, but choose the time to use them carefully.

use the grenades wisely and use the FORCE (of your'e arm) / they are great distractions but i personaly like the smoke grenades more

they seem to light the place up and they are good forcover when moving also you are not allowed to use them in most tourney's

try shaking them?  that actually helps usually.....  And yes, they do need to switch the plugs.....

I have shook them like a 9.8 on the rector scale.   The Squad Busters would easily be the best grenade out there as well, with the ball bearing plugs instead of rubber.

You can either throw them hard or lob them very high... gravity from 30' up will do the job as well as brute force...  and yes... do shake them.

EVIL WIPER! *pulls out 'From Russia With Love' cannon*

From what I've heard, one guy I know (You know who you are KoF :p ) accidentally got his own team with a lobbed grenade... I wasn't there, but when they got back from the game, the flak was STILL coming

From what I've seen though, through videos, grenades (actually seem more like underslung flak cannons to me) that use CO2 to propel several balls at once seem to do a decent area of damage... one example would be the RAP-4 Grenade Launchers

Throw the grenade at someone to knock them out then shoot them. lol. I have been in situations where I wished I had a grenade. But at 6 per nade I would never use it.

I don't really think that they are worth the cash, but if you do happen to come by one they are fun to use in like a senerio game. For the Tippmann squadbuster: shake well, pull pin, and throw it as hard as you can at a solid object (bunker) next to the player you are trying to get out. Everyone says that they don't work, you just have to know how to make them work.

If you wanna get some paintball grenades, make your own. Its pretty easy, you can just order some latex tubing, ball bearings, Venom paint mix, and some ties.

^^^^   He's got the right ideal. You can order the grenade kits off a few sites and even ebay occasionally. They are almost exactly the same thing as what I pay $5 a pop for.

Found a guy selling 10 home made grenades using one of these cheap kits, for $14.50 and $6.29 shipping to where I live. $20.79. If I had to pay $5 a piece for those it would be $50. So he has probally less than half that in them. Hmmmm.....

I need to take that advice and buy me the kit. I will be saving a good bit of money.

twistedkev1990, Thanks for the ideal.

another way to gett cheap gernades is to just buy water balloons <thats right water balloons and buy some sort of cheap paint to fill them with the best way to do it would be to use some sort of pressor<how ever u spell it >thing like a small ball pump>  it cost like $5 for close to 100!!!

just keep them on your outside-in a bag pouch or sumtin-or they go boom on u
