k this is a really **edited** idea but,,, here goes
i was watching the wold series 2001 when i saw some dude load his hopper with a pod (as u do) and spray paintballs everywhere. i was thinking if u had like a camel back (or something a bit more solid) full of paintballs then and a hose that quick clipped onto the side of ur belt with a cyclone style feader somewhere along the way then u could just top up ur hopper and if someone was flanking u while u loaded and u wanted to surpress them then u wouldnt have to dump the pod and loose all those balls.
crap thought but a thought none the less.

I like it, but there is a lot more thought that needs to be put into it.

I think its a good idea, its kind of like a remote feed for paintballs. I seriously think you should try to work it out and build one.

Wouldn't that be sort of like a warp feed, in a backpack?
If you are going to do that why even have a hopper?

I think his Idea was to replace the Hopper w/ the backpack, so it would be like a big Q-loader on your back.

I saw something similiar to this on the internet a few years ago. Unfortunately, I've never been able to find it again. A college student had a coiled garden hose in a backpack. One end was clamped to the feedneck of his marker and the other end had a 20 oz. CO2 attached to it. He turned on the CO2 and it forced the paintballs through the hose. He claimed it held 1000 rounds and worked quite well.

i was thinking about this same thing today!! the reason it popped into my head is because i've been looking at the warpfeeds
i think that if you had a good hard case on your back so that they
wouldnt break with an agitator in it you could put the warp feed below
it and just run the hose to your gun
but you will encounter the same problems as you do with a remote line,
shooting from one side of the bunker or another, and if your hose came
disconnected, you'd lose all of the paintballs in the pack.

Nay.
Unless I am very mistaken he wants to basically make a pod backback
where all your paint is stored and you just hook it to your hopper to
fill up quickly.

Hmm… I think he should just do away w/ the hopper so the backpack feeds the balls directly into the marker.

yeah but i dont want to have my gun attached to me
so a direct feed wouldnt be what i was looking for but hey,, it could work for some.

Has anyone tried this? Just curious if there'd be any problems with a warp in a backpack with a longer hose, as far as the workings of the mechanism itself. I understand you'd have to protect the contents of the pack and I don't care about switching hands, as I already have remote air. If it works, all you'd have to do is customize the pack with a compartment that has a hole in the bottom that feeds into the hopper to basically increase your hopper size by hundreds. You'd need a separate entry into the warp section of the pack, in case of a problem with the hopper or something, but if the warp is as trouble-free as they advertise, hopefully the need to get in there would be rare. It sounds a lot like the Turtlebackpack, but if I could create one without having to buy it, I'd rather. If these questions have been answered elsewhere, feel free to flame me, but if so, I couldn't find them.

here's the thing with any speed loading system, the sad truth is that there isn't much market for it. consider this, pro players are sponsered and just dump the paint in the hoppers and don't worry about it. Now sure we rec ballers have problems with this, but most of the big companies out there worry more about pro ballers needs than rec ones for that's were the real money lies is with happy pros. They buy your product, sponser it and become walking talking adds for the thing. A speed loading system isn't something pros are worried about so that product won't get the same advertisment as a nice barrel system etc.

You don't know what you're talking about. Big companies worry more about recballers. Why do you think Smart Parts came out with the Ion? Dye with it's Proto Division? Planet with the Etek? Because it's the everyday recballer that brings in the moeny. Most "pro" players do NOT buy a companies product and choose to become a "walking talking add for the thing." They represent whichever companies is willing to give them the best deal, which is why the Gardener brothers are taking over the world.
