How about and attachment to the cyclone, that you can just pop a pod onto it. When there is no more paintballs. Take the pod off and put a new one on.

This would be like super fast. It would be fairly realistic for woodsball, and awsome for speedball (course why would you take an a5 onto a speedball field---somepeople do though).

Or maybe they already make it, I dont know, whatever.

EDIT: It could be angled so that it doesnt stick up so high.

That would be really cool. You would just need to make sure the pod attaches securely to the cyclone so it wont fall off.

the only problem is that when you flip the pod over to load onto the A-5 paintball would spill out....would be quicker though

The pod would just turn the cyclone into an even bigger target.

saw some dude at twc cut out the front of his a-5 hopper, and put the pod(no like side thing or lid) and tape it to the front, so the only bigger difference it made was from the side, stright on was the same, it just held 140 more rounds, looked kinda cool too

I'd think that  having a 140 count pod sticking out the front end of your hopper would look kind of strange and awkward

I saw a while ago in a paintball magazine that some company had made some Hoppers that doubled as pods, so that when your hopper ran out you would just replace it w/ another, the only problem was that they held a lot less paintballs than a regular hopper. They didn’t make any for an A-5 either.

It wouldn’t be much different than having one of those Q-loaders mounted under your barrel.

Don't laugh at me, but A5 rules in speedball...

1(me) vs 2 I won 4/5 games...

and I had a stock A5.

It's not the marker that makes the game. It's the player. If you could do that with the A-5, you could probably do it with a brass eagle. I'd venture to guess that your opponents failed to work toegether.

that beign said, A5 is still an excellent marker.

The more the angle, the slower the grav feed. The less the angle, the more visibility.

Current hopper designs are ideal for feeding, and maintaining a low profile.

With Dye Lock-Pods, and a launchpod pack, you can reload rather fast.

The Ricochet hoppers seem to have a good combination of looks, profile, and speed...

Ya but for the A-5 I think that the pod thing is pretty smart.

straight on top of you cyclone feed you put a 50 deg angle you can click a pod in!! the 50deg angle is good enough to keep it out of sight but sloppy enough to feed the same then a normal A-5 hopper.

Plz correct me if I'm wrong!!!

Good thoughts, but again. You wouldnt get optimal feeding.

The fastest way to get to point a to point b is a straight line. Well, the force of gravity is pushing straight down, not at an angle.

Think of it this way. Which way would you get down faster, jumping off the 2nd story to the first, or going down the stairs?

Keep in mind, misfit, that the width fo the pod would definitely let it feed to the Cyclone's maximum capacity.

Either way, I'm not a fan of replacing hoopers with pods except for Qloaders. If you want a better loader, get an Apache Ricochet A5...

Hmmm,

How about the JT Speed Pods? I bought one and put it on the hopper mouth of my A-5 and HATED it. But i never tried putting it straight on the cyclone in place of the hopper. This might have some merit, especially if you coul dfigure out a way to angle it just slightly back or to the side away from the marker to allow you to aim.

If that were for an A-5, then it would go good with this topic, however its not.

I still consider this a marketable Idea, but realisticly youd be loosing over 200 paitballs in a match. Plus the time for R&D, owell.
