what kind of person puts tape on his barrel? like honestly what would that do!? and why would his dad tell him to? cuz thats TOO COOL. Oh god was him plan to keep the paint dry?.. why would u be playing in alot of rain anyway?? im astounded about how smart that kid is.. Omigod hes too smart. | I understand tape on the barrel. If you are playing woodsball for example. You might want to cover a silver barrel. I don't think that it is a good idea to cover the holes. I would guess that his accuracy has decreased. |

Bullet, congrats on being guested.
Tape over the porting of the barrel is nothing new, some people put stickers over the porting of their barrel to allow more barrel length for acceleration. A paintball generally needs 7-8 inches of unported barrel to accelerate in, after 8" of unported length, air efficiency can suffer. If a barrel has less than 7" of unported length, you can cover the porting inorder to try get better air efficiency. -------------

depends on what kind of barrel. If its the stock barrel, putting tape on the middle holes might help the barrel. If its an after market barrel, thens its ok if its raining out. |
