There's no way this marker is a Pro-Lite. What kind of marker is this anyway?

It's a painted Pro-Lite.  It is a little old.  I too am not up on the whole Carbine Series.  I know that it surely looks like a Pro-Lite.

What the hell? Am I looking at the same photo? It's the blue gun with a sticker on the side of it, right? For one the grip is completely different, the sight is different, the tank connection is where the end screw should be, the left hand grip looks nothing like a Pro-Lite's. If this is a Pro-Lite then it's a prototype cause this looks nothing like one. Tank connections for Pro-Lites are in the grip. The whole 'back-end' of this gun is way off.

no no. The gun you're thinking of is the Carbine THAT is a Pro-lite. You see that is an older model of the pro-lite wich is why the back is a little longer.

*edit: the trigger frame does look funny though.

Thats a "68 special" isn't it? Pro lites have the ASA running through the grip like the A-5's. This however comes out of the back. Pretty sure its a 68 special.

Damn, I thought you guys knew your guns. It does appear to be a 68 Special and NOT a Pro-Lite. Thanks for the insight everyone........

The 68 Special - You have to love any gun that was specifically designed to require liquid CO2 running through it.  I had one many years ago and the tank that came with it had a siphon in it with a weight so that the end was always in the liquid.  As I recall, it was pretty much the opposite of markers today in that if the CO2 coming in wasn't in liquid form, the velocity was not consistent.  That's what I remember about mine.

Sorry for going off-topic - you will now be returned to your regularly scheduled programming!
