I got an a-5 for woodsball and i don't really know which upgrades to get. I'm planning, so far, to get a BT Paintball Folding stock or something like it. I'll need a more accurate barrel than the stock and maybe a scope. Flatline R/T Regulator/x-chamber Based on your style of play you could also get Stock Remote Other visual accessories ------------- A-5 E-Grip JCS Dual Trigger DOP X-CORE 8 stage x-chamber Lapco Bigshot 14" Beadblasted Optional setup: R/T Dead on Blade trigger |

Um, that is why you should get a red dot, instead of a scope. The red dot sight merely an aim point device, ie. it helps you point the gun in the right direction, instead of just guessing. Therefore if your paintballs miss, it is because of the paintball inacuracy, instead of user error. This is why Red dots are used in close quarters combat; there is no need for precision shooting, just the need to aquire a sight picture quickely. I like red dots, I would say get one. The folding stock sounds nice too, I want one of those. The RT is great, and if you want more consistancy get a Palmers Stab, they give better expansion than an xchamber anyway. Yes a Palmers Stab would be a very nice investment, I just bought one and it has improved my shots at the chrono by A LOT, normally no more then +-4 or 5 every time. only bad thing is that you need to shoot about 2k shots before it is broken in. (just shoot air if you want) So if you buy one and it doesnt seem to work that great, shoot it and get it broken in and then you will tell a difference. ------------- -Tippman 98c -Lapco Bigshot 14" -Flatline -Palmer Stablizer (male) -Dead On dropforward -Hyperstar bolt -Red dot sight |

Accuracy depends on the player and the paint. If you cant aim or keep the gun steady, its your fault. Also, crappy paint wont do so well with a Flatty. Look into a CAR stock, remote coil, RT, double trigger, expansion chamber, and red dot. ------------- Pumpker'd; (V.) One thing that hasn't been asked or mentioned ... How much is cost an issue? Barrel should be your first concern. If cost is an issue, I would say get a J&J Ceramic barrel. This is also a good back-up barrel to have if you do get a Flatline. Next, air set-up will depend on your style of play. I don't like remote lines because I like being able to switch hands quicker than I feel I am able to with one on (yes, I've used one ... didn't like it), but that is just me. So, you need to look at two sets of options first:CO2 (cheaper start-up) or HPA (Cheaper long-term operating cost if available in your area).
Third would likely be trigger improvements. I prefer the E-Grip in most situations, though it is more expensive. If you won't be playing tournaments, R/T is just fine. Finally are the functional mods that are more aesthetic, than performance related. Here are my suggestions:
Do not bother with any internal upgrades except for spring kits or polishing the internals. do not get a sight the only reason you should is to see farther distances i like the r/t only thing i don't like in which these people have said is the flatline other than that its all good
