Just got my MiniMag powder coated. Cost me only $20, and it looks so great! Much better than before. All the parts (except the frame) match now and its got a great professional look. The only thing I dont like is the frame. I have a chrome frame which I should have got coated along with the other stuff, but I wasnt thinking. Oh well, the stock one looks ok. I also filed down part of the trigger gaurd to make it rounded, and made a new drop instead of that POS bullet drop. This means a new ASA and the line can only go into the left side, but I delt with it.

Thanks for the great comments! A guy at my dads work does powder coating on the side as like a hobby. Its not actualy a professional job, but sure looks that way. He also plays paintball and has a full PCed E-98 with tons of stuff.

I bought my Mag off ebay for $102 a few months ago. It was originaly a 68 Classic, but I bought a MiniMag body for $30 and its now a MM. A complete pre-made or stock MM isnt very cheap or easy to find. Your best bet is getting a 68 Classic and buying a used MM body.

Tommorow Im playing and using it. So earlier tonite I decided to oil and dryfire it. Put on the gas, pulled the trigger, and the on/off didnt seem to want to close. This resulted in a slow incomplete cycled full-auto, and occasional air leaking through. I immediately knew what the problem was. Since the layer of PC separated the body from the rail probaly 1/32in, the on/off couldnt be fully engauged or disengaged by the sear. I should have seen this problem, and earlier tested. So I was pissed. So I filed down some of the PC in the area, but still the same effect. Ill work on it before I go tom. If not, picture that gun with a shorter silver Classic body... Yeah it sucks. Im going to look like an idiot now.

Triggerhappy, Oil the hell out of the on/off. Oil it directly. And check to make sure the pin is in the right. Then check the on/off o-rings, make sure their not interfearing with the pin.

Unless the powercoating is really thick, I wouldn't think it would put a huge space between the valve and the sear.

how fast can it shoot ?!?

Way ahead of you cda. I think the body was hanged when coated, and some of the it ran down to the back part leaving a thick layer there. Add that to the thin and thick layers on the rail, and it is substancial. I though about lenghtening the sear rod thing, but I know you can get a lot of problems doing so. A little more filing should get it going. Ill work on it more tommorrow.

I played today and used it for about half the day. Shot perfectly, no problems at all. Very little barrel breaks (probaly 3 or 4, I was using PMI Stinger crap), but one or two chops. I found myself shooting very fast during intense fighting. I actualy outshot my hopper (around 12bps) and chopped. I dont know for sure how fast, but Im sure over 10bps at sometimes.
