Just for the record that video is misleading... The US strategic arsenal is not even close to 150,000 nuclear warheads. It's aprox 7,000 and is in a planned reduction which will drop that number to between 1,700-2,200 by the year 2012. Not that I have a problem with nuclear reduction, I think its a good idea. I just don't like people who feel the need to "massage the data" with statistical trickery to try and get me to join their cause. |

True, BUT, we are really the only country that has proven we won't use them unless absoltuly necessary. Nukes have been used twice in time of warfare, and it saved a lot more lives than it took. -------------

| One of the main reasons nobody attacks us is because our greatest competator in numbers of nukes is Russia. We have about the same amount of nukes as them (or we did in the cold war) so if they launched an attack, it would be another stalemate like WWI. We don't need another WWI. |

but America is just begging for one... Edit: another reason countries dont nuke us, is that we got thee #1 anti-Missle system in the world... it would be stupid to nuke us... then we'd pick up on there guidance, and... then let the party begin, and lets show the world what are military is "Really" capable of... The Russians and the U.S. arn't in the Arms race no more... besides once the Soviet Empire broke up, they lost 1/3 of there nukes anyway. -------------

And Hitman, there are numerous benefits to war, however tyranical that sounds to you. 1) It helps the economy greatly... look at WW2 for an exapmple 2) more brutal point, but it does keep population down. People say we are overcrowded now... imagine no cruscads, no 100 year war, no WW1, WW2, Vietnam, revultion, civil war.... sure, more "peaceful" but way more people, and i'm pretty sure worse economy -------------
