i need the best accuracy possible and some range

the flatline on the A5 is waay too loud for a sniperand ah its not the most accurate barrel from what i have read...

i hear people recommend the j&j, all american, freak, dye, big shot and an armsom i beleive...

which barrel is the BEST with no budget in mind...

all i have found searching is a list of about 10 different barrels that are the best

and please dont tell me the flatline is the best and not give an explanation, and if i have to read one more time how the flatty works im gonna hang myself

thanks and im trying to build my A5 to be the best it can be...

as of now i only have a respons trigger and i want to make a list of things to get starting with the barrel

Here are the list of the top three barrels i would buy:
#1: All American
#2: Bigshot
#3:J&J Ceramic
#4:Freak Kit

If there are any other ones, i havent heard of them

Well since you don't seem to like the Flatty I'd go for a Freak kit if money isn't a problem. It's 1 of the best barrels out there now. You can match the paint to the insert giving you max accuracy.

i have a Freak kit and its awesome most accurate thing i've used. one thing just make sure u dont put too small of a bore in there when ur playin cause u will break paint like crazy (obviously).

More important than your barrel are your paintballs. You don't need to buy an expensive barrel, but cheap paint will be the most detrimental.

Flatline is the only barrel to add any range to your shot, and is reletively accurate at normal ranges.

The sound the gun makes when its shot doesnt make a difference. If you shoot the other people are going to hear you shoot. The only exception to this is when you use an illegal silencer.

Go with the flatline. It does add significant range with each shot. In woodsball you will be out of firing range in many different situations. However with the flatline you wont be out of range allways. There also will be some instances when you can shoot the enemy before he can shoot you.

One of you Flatline enthusiast should warm him about the expensive paint he needs and what happens when he get a ball break with the Flatty.

You dont need expensive paint. We shoot $25/2000 affordaballz through our flatties without much of a problem.

As for when you break a ball, simply put a cottonball with some alchlohol on it in the breech and shoot. Then take a squeegie through.

Fair enough, possibly he is a new player and may not be able to find that deal on paint. Ball breaks in the middle of a game -  I meant what happens to the ballistics, not how to clean it.

Well your right itwill shoot a little crazy sometimes but then again so does any barrel when a ball breaks. Just have to make sure you clean it real well after it happens.

It shoots REAL bad with a ball break, and some other ported barrels alow you to shoot through breaks pretty well.

Other then that... it's a good barrel if you don't mind it's size. I value it because it allows you to do some things you normally wouldn't be able to.

I have a J&J and so does my friend that has a A-5, they're great but the All American barrel is very quiet and accurate, very good barrel.

I personally love my Dye Boomstick. Its an older one piece model that I bought for my A-5. It was hard to find a barrel for the A-5 when I bought it because the A-5 had just comeout. but that is irrelevant. The bigshot is a great barrel. If you have a specific brand of paint you shoot and like make sure it has a good paint to bore match for whatever barrel you choose. the barrel is only as good as the paint you use. if you have a small bore barrel and shoot large bore paint... well i hope you get the picture.

Empire 4-piece barrel kit.

Barrel really doesn't matter, its the paint to bore match thats most important.

paint to bore match is the reason you buy a kit.  That way, no matter what the size of the paint is, you can change inserts/backs to match them for better accuracy

Ah, cheap and inexpensive aren't necessarily the same thing. Blaze is inexpensive, but it isn't cheap.
