use a wrench and vise. IT all depends on which gun you are using.

Get the appropriate wrench, or adjustable wrench that fits the SS line, and then get another large wrench or vise that fits around the ASA, and untwist.

Maybe he doesn't know how to screw the hoses together in the proper order to tighten all the fittings.

Be gentle, use a vise or wrenches to grab both sides of the fitting so you don't torque anything. With a little mechanical advatage, it should unsrew pretty easy. Don't forget to use lock-tight or the high pressure thread tape to reassemble.
