lol Well, somewhat. I do like that song.
I listen to rock, metal, pop, alternative, some rap, whatever, but I've always liked No Doubt. Since high school really. They caught me and I've been hooked since.
Whatever kind of forum weirdo that makes me, fine. :)

I liked Tragic Kingdom. I dont like Gwen's solo stuff to much.
I am guessing you went through highschool during the 90s. I can relate. I have alot of alternative and old school rap songs/albums tucked away, which I dont listen much these days. Still some good stuff was made.
I think because we are older than most, that makes us weird by default.

Yeah, we have a different batch of music from "back in the day." I love 90's music. Last Christmas the alternative station here had an all 90's weekend and I was glued to it. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Sublime...
I used Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" for the name of the character in my short story "Falling."
Gwen's solo stuff is freaky. I like the three singles on her cd, but the rest of the cd blows. I may also only like the three singles in comparison to the others. In any case, I like more or less all of ND's stuff.

Wow is havent thought about Bush, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice and Chains, Blind Melon, Sound Garden, Soul Asylum, and many more bands in quite a while.
Yes, these poor youth have so little quality music to listen to these days. I feel bad for them.
I loved that song Jeremy. Kinda ironic seeing the school violence since that song came out.
The local new rock station will play good music from the 90s but I have to switch channels when the new stuff comes on.

I'm in the same boat. I'm not convinced that there are more than four new bands out since 2000, playing different songs in the same chords and under new names. They don't even rotate lead singers.
I like something from all those bands you named. I just watched Reality Bites and saw the lead singer from Soul Asylum in the background of a scene, reading a paper. I pointed him out to my fiancee and she had no idea who I meant.

I'll never understand how you guys could possibly like The Mars
Volta more than At The Drive In..
My favorite band right now is probably Xiu Xiu or Devendra Banhart.
Tom Waits is easily one of (if not my SOLE) favorite musicians
of all time, though.

listed to ATDI long before I ever even gave TMV a try, so now im

Mars Volta. And I'm not saying that TMV are bad - They just pale in
comparison to ATDI.

I don't compare ATDI and TMV. Sure I
love ATDI, but the Mars Volta are completely different. It really
depends on the mood I'm in. Sometimes I like to listen to the Mars
Volta, and others it's At the Drive-In. And today, I'm in a Mars Volta
mood.

I agree with Prod; The Mars Volta is amazing, but At the Drive-In have this vitality about them that just blows me away.
But, yeah, my favorite band is Beulah.
