So, I officially have started scuba diving (class). I do the
first dive monday. I have a good mask, open foot fins, boots, and
snorkel. I need/want a BCD, regulator, tank, and diving knife,
anyone have any suggestions on what I should get?
Also, does anyone else here dive?

I'm probably gonna do some of that stuff this summer when I'm in Florida.

Dont bother buying a tank.
All you need to dive is a BCD, Regulator, Mask, Snorkle, Fins, and possibley a wetsuit (personal preference).
And honestly, what are you going to use the knife for?

I might need one eventually, and I get like a 10% student discount on stuff and there is a decent knife at the shop for $40

How long are you gonna be there? Most classes are 3-6 weeks.

K, its cheaper and safer to just rent tanks. You dont have to do maintence, hydrotest them, or fill them.
And once again, why do you need a knife?

Such as?
And if you dive you know the purpose of the knife is not to bust out your ninja knife skills on a couple of fish

Well, I haven't even thought about that...maybe I don't really need one.
