well, i have been a member of several other forums(see sig and more) and for the life of me i cant understand why we arent allowed to advocate other members of our beloved paintball community... how is paintball supposed to grow as a sport if none of the people communicate... maybe if we could spread the word more tippmann wouldnt be labeled a begginner's gun and i have a lingering feeling that this thread will be deleted this forum is a great source of info but the administration and a few of the members |

i cant remember the poster's name but he posted a thread asking if people had heard of a new forum (the first one in my sig) and got flamed out the ass... now i knwo there is flaming on every forum but i have found alot of good information on this forum and i dont particularly want to leave so i would like to state my opinion that the rule "5: No advertising. Yes, this means no more "come check out my l33t forum" posts, as well as "buy my stuff plz plz kthx"." i dont know about you but advocating the paintball communtiy through "advertising"(even though noone makes money off of it) other forums is how paintball became so popular. So why impede the progress of our beloved sport... and i know the mods let people buy and sell all they want...www.countypaintball.com or whatever...

NO. You CAN NOT advertise. What you CAN do, is discuss said sites, and
if someone asks where can I get such and such an item, refer them to
that site. You CAN NOT make a thread saying, 'hey, come here!'
Likewise, you CAN NOT plug said sites in every post!

I personally posted in the MilSim thread and I agree that it should of
been deleted. Not because it was advertising(he was trying to discuss
the new Forum...BTW: not 14 year olds, I know both of the founders) but
because of the discussion caused by it. One person was too strict, one
was being a baby, and one was sorta making a joke of it. It was a
complete mess. This forum either needs their mods too be more active or more mods. This forum is really broken(in a mental sense, not physically) but I believe it can be fixed(now for a really really corny line) if we all work togather. ------------- You call the Eagle, Eagle does the rest. |

Your right. This forum does need help. Help of gettting rid of the riff-raff members that think they are funny, cute, or just want attention.
First off the person that created the tread you are complaining I deleted knew that he was not supposed to post links to forums without permission. He thought he could get away with it because the moderator activity has not been up to the par it once was. Too bad for him, I saw it and he got caught. I could have done more that just delete his thread. You also do not respect the rules set in place by this forum. I specifically recall deleting your sig and you replaced it woth an even bigger one thus you earned yours strike. You now come to the aid of your milsim buddy to help him spam his forum. It is the policy of this forum that posting threads that say something to the effect of "OMG!! Come check out this awesome forum, or PLS!!! Help me make my forum better" is not allowed. There are many place to find links to forums that cover milsim paintball information. Also many members informed you of this and you decided to make a big issue out of it because you think you and your buddy are the exception to the rules here. If you dont like the rules here, then go hang out at all the other forums you claim are better. The world of paintball doesnt need your personal help of infroming others about your milsim forum. Behave or be gone. Oh and by the way, Mods are given the power to be dictators here. This isnt a democracy. If you dont like it, pick up your phone and call Tippmann or send them an e-mail. |
