1. I'm a newbie and I recently put a flatline on my A-5...I was wondering where I should roughly start with my air screw (how many turns out from all the way in)? I don't have a chrony available to test it.

2. I'm assuming this will change if I polish the internals?  can someone put a link up for me to look at some diagrams of exactly what to polish?

3. The A-5 is loud!  Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent quiet barrel to interchange with my flatline?

Thanks, Max

Start with it in, then turn it up untill your shots start to loose accuracy. A chrono is the best way, it should be 260-280fps for best performance.

I think theres a guid to polishing in the "Uber FAQ" thread.

A good quiet barrel is a J&J Ceramic.

to add on.

1. I won't even try to help you there. USE A CHRONOGRAPH. There is no easy way to guesstimate. If you play where there is no field, then have your friends chip in to buy one. A local field will usually let you run your gun over the chrono for free.

2. Yeah there is a great A-5 polishing guide in the uber FAQ, posted by .......... ME. The pictures are no longer hosted but the guide is pretty thurough. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions since its my guide.

3. Any longer barrel with a good amount of porting will bring the volume down. An LP kit later on will also help bring this down. Its really the only advantage to having the LP kit.
