I'll miss you guys... All the regular forum people... I went to a tourney the other day with my A-5 and we got creamed... 8th place wasn't bad, but I really loved the experience... I posted here for a reason... I am saving up for a Shocker Sft Vision 05' I need reviews on the following: Sound: Is it loud, or is it quiet? Performance: Advertised 20+ bps... Out of box? Weight: I heard it is 1.6 lbs out of box... Shockers need a lot of matinance to work right. There are some shockers at my field, and i have never seen any of them get THAT fast, even with bounce. Yes, its light and quite. |

Try to look at a Evil PIMP on ebay, there are some going for only $600,
and there just as fast as a Shocker, but you wont have to tweak with
the pimp nearly as much as the Shocker.

Eyes in the shocker really arent that amazing, they chop like crazy, my friend has one chops atleast once or twice, proto never chopped EVER. Quiet, meh sort of, light yes, fast yes they need alot of attention and maitnece. ------------- http://www.theimagehosting.com">

There are better guns for the price. Look at the ICD freestyle. Its as light as teh shocker, as fast as the shocker, has better eyes, and it more reliable. |

Evil Pimps actually go for around $450-$500 used now, just updating, not trying to contradict.
cdacda13 has a good idea with the Freestyle. I'd agree that they've better guns than the Shocker, just make sure you get one with all the 2004 upgrades, and not a Gen1-they had like 80 degree frames which are insanely ugly. Check out a used Viking or Excalibur. They're heavier, and a little bulkier, but they are very fast, and accurate. Once you have 'em set up, they don't go down either, as long as you don't mess with em. |

SFT's come with Vision right? If so, it is pretty much impossible to get 0 chops on it, because the eyes are reflective. Throw some dark, dull paint in there and it will likely have problems. If you do buy the Shocker, it probably wouldn't hurt to buy a WAS board or something along those lines. Then, chops are basically impossible. |

The karni's go for around $900 and they are a great gun. Actually, on PbN, you see people selling Pimps they won in tournaments, new in their boxes, for $450. Good guns, great price.
Shocker eyes are break-beam. They'll take any color paint. And deffinately DO NOT get a 'cocker. The simple truth is that 'cockers with E-frames aren't nearly as good as other electros. First of all, they have a whole huge crapload of reciprocating mass, which affects accuracy, causes bouncing, and is caused by a backblock with moves about an inch back to re-cocker, meaning you can't have your face up next to the gun like other electros. If you're really interested in a 'cocker, check out a fastblack(by Doc Nickel- http://www.docsmachine.com - Doc's Machine ), the Turtle 'cocker(don't have a link, check google. I don't like them, they're ugly and expensive), or the Fireball Mountain(also known as FBM) Half-...well, for lack of a better word "butt". Check out http://www.fbmfactory.com - FBM Factory ). They don't have as much mass back there, and no back block in the back, it's more like a mid-block, however, this means it doesn't come back and hit you. |
