Republicans cannot win a logical debate unless they eat their own BS. Their justifications are so weak. Things done the right way do not have to be justified.

The Republican party points America's course, and the Democratic party makes it more palateble for the public.

Oh?  If he is so dumb, why has FAUX News been feverishly inoculating the faithful for the last week against this very thing?  The lines "This is how liberty dies" and "you either stand with me or against me" struck a nerve with one heck of a lot of movie goers.

Tom Delay is a very respectable man.  Fox news says so.

Actually if you look at all the positive things he has done, some liberal idiots might have some respect for the man.

LOL....What? No doofy, it's not FAR FAR left wing propaganda...it's a campaign to stop the ability of one party to decided how our courts are stacked. And no, the Reps aren't responsible for SW3...They are responsible for a threat to our democracy and our court system that helps hold that democracy together.

lol...and I said "overlords" because you seem like one of those super-partisans and it was the first sarcastic word that came to mind.

It's ok though, you added a little humor to my night so I don't hate you too much....

Well yes it is goofy left wing propaganda. The courst are already stacked and your left wing poor looser senators are using a senate procedure innappropately. The nuclear option, uses the constitution to put an end to the stupidity. Never in the history of the US has a filibuster been used on judges until last year.
The liberals cannot win at the polls, so the win at the bench. example... 11 States voted against allowing **edited** marraige. One flaming liberal judge shoots it all down. That is not democracy. One abusive money grubbing husband, plus one liberal weenie judge, and a woman dies. Against the will of the people. That is not democracy.
It is imperative for the survival of this great nation that the balance of power be restored. Put the judges to a vote, and quit using judges to make up for your sound pounding at the polls.

Why if your so smart tell my why are your turds blocking the appointment of a black, an hispanic, and a woman?
Hypocrisy at its best from the party of the minorities.

No, friend, your truly deluded.

Well if you watched the news, about 2 months ago the report from the Dept. of Children and Familys said that the woman you are talking about was not abused in the least.

And exactilly who are "The people" in that situation, and why are they better off saying if the woman lived or died, rather than the man that knew her, her husband.

Try switching off the AM dial every once in a while and listen to reason....

My will was that she die.  So the will of the people was obeyed.

Listen to reason?
OK, what about the new law from congress requiring the judge to look at the evidence again. Blown off.
What about the signed affidavits noting how the husband demanded treatment and therapy be with-held. How about the parents suit because he did not spend a penny of the money on his wife. How about living with another woman, having two kids oh yea he really cared about her. Yes sir, one judge threatened the Governor, and blew off Congress, yep that is certainly democracy.
It's OK, she is better off, he has his money, and can get maried now, and the parents, well the parents lost their daughter. Yet, there is evidence she could be fed normaly, she was not completely gone, and the parents were willing to take responsibility. Was justice done, not hardly.

^^^^^ It was my will that she die.  It was your will that she live.  She died.  Perhaps she should not have her life placed into the hands of ineffectual weaklings.

Proof positive that Tom DeLay is a hypocrite:  Terri Schiavo.

The courts - ALL of them - enforced the law as written, and declined to make a special exception, and refused to circumvent the law, and DeLay talks of "activist judges" with no respect for the law or the will of the people, when the judges simply enforced the law as enacted by the Florida legislature and signed by the Florida governor, all of whom were elected by the Florida voters.  And, of course, survey after survey reveals that most people favor right to die legislation, which is why almost every state has it.  GW himself signed the Texas right-to-die bill into law.

I guess "activist judge" means "judge who doesn't vote the way I like".  DeLay should look up the term, right after he looks up "independent judiciary".

And there is the States' rights issue.  DeLay is all about the states rights, until Schiavo - now suddenly the Federal government has to get involved in a state matter, in a family matter.  Small government my behind.

And, for the poster complaining about the "single liberal judge", a little research is in order.   The Florida judge who initially ruled to let Schiavo die is a church-going, pro-life Republican appointee who simply believes in enforcing the law as written instead of making it up as he goes.  And, of course, the courts batted 1000 on this - courts at EVERY LEVEL consistently ruled that the Florida law says was it says - duh.

I can understand that people can have misconceptions about the Schiavo case from ignorance.  Tom DeLay does not have that excuse.  He is simply a hypocrite.

The "Rule of law" was changed by congress. Allowing, no demanding, that the facts of the case be reviewed. The judge blew it off.

There is sufficient evidence that Terry did not need to go. Death row inmates get treated better than that by our legal system.

"Because Greer's decisions in the Schaivo case conflicted with the opinions of patrons at his church, the Calvary Baptist Church of Clearwater, Greer was asked by pastor William Rice to end his relationship with his church."
