Because I am great at spraypainting:

And no, it really isn't all that shiny, camera flash does wierd things to lighting.

Did you just change the hopper color or did you also repaint the marker and the barrel?

I painted the cyclone outsides to match.

It was a 6 hour job.

Because of the way I did it, yes.

That include the time it took taping it off, and applying anti-overspray plastic.

Basically, I took it apart, removed the cap and spring, and then put it back together with a shopping bag inbetween, then trimmed the shopping back down really close to the surface of the hopper, and used it to make an anti-overspray shield on the bottom hole of the hopper. Then taped off the connection part of it so that it would still fit in the cyclone properly. Also I used a Pringles lid to cover up where the cap would be so that there wouldn't be any overspray through there and so that the area the cap connects to wouldn't be sprayed over. Then painting took about half an hour because after the first try I realized that I didn't get ALL of the hopper, so I had to wait a little while and repaint.

Painting the cyclone exterior was a simpler process. I just unscrewed it from the side of the gun and then taped off everything that I didn't want painted (such as the tube, the internals, and wherever paint could go through cracks to get into the internals. Painting took about 5 minutes.

No, because it will make my gun look too.. "cartoonish" or "speedballish".

I used Krylon Fusion Satin Hunter Green paint.

I am considering getting a M4 stock and painting it the same to balance things out.

I figured you would have painted the whole gun.  I don't like it with just the hopper painted like that.

Well I want to keep the rest of the gun black to keep it looking, gunnish.

Sortof the reason I painted the hopper is to 'seperate' it from the gun, make it look like it's not apart of the gun.

I am going to do more to it, I am going to buy a M4 stock and paint parts of it the same to balance things out.

I am also considering painting it woodland camo, or painting it as if it was a US WW2 tank and put the star symbol, my last name, and serial number on it.

I am trying to decide.

Just note it's not finished yet.

This is actually my second time spraypainting ANYthing, so the fact that I got it done and it looks clean is a great accomplishment to me.

ALSO:

'Good job, not too big of a fan of "shiny"'

Like I said in the first post it's not really all that shiny, I should find a way to take a good pic without camera flash just to show it's true texture.

Am I looking at a stock A5 with a green hopper? I am still baffled by the 6hr paint job, I don't know if you should classify your self as a If you were a "great spray painter". Nice leather jacket.

I repeat... it only took me about 10min to actually paint it.

I had to tape everything off and etc before hand, which took about 2 hours each time. I am a perfectionist and it takes awhile for something for me to be happy with it.

It would probably be shorter time period now due to the fact I know exactly how to do it.

I had to repaint it after the first time because it didn't completely get covered...

Heres a timeline:

Paint Prep (dissassembling cleaning, taping, etc): prob 1 and a half hours

Painting (5 coats with 30 second intervals): 5min

Letting it dry, then reassembling: 1hr 5min

Re-Preping: 1 hour

Re-Painting (3 coats): ~5min

Letting Dry & Reassembling: 1hr 5min

Total: 4hrs 50min

Ok I exhaggerated by 1hr 10min... but still.

You guys are really critical you know that?
