Well, the longer I wait, the more guns I'm thinking about getting. I have a little under 800$.
The choices are:
Flied speed(top choice)
05 speed
DM3
Proto
DM4
I play back and i NEED a fast gun. I pretty much know a lot about the markers, but Im looking for personal opinions/experiances.

I'd go with the Flied Speed. I've seen it used in a tourney at the local field and it seemed like an awesome gun. I dont really have any experiences with the others.

Flied Speed. Fly boards are awesome. I would take it over any of the others in a second.

Heyya!

Do you already have the support systems (compressed air and fast hopper)? If not, take out about $200.00 or so if you go used, or more.

But anyway, if you do, I'd go with an Angel. No doubt that the frame feels better when packed in tight, it's small and light and fast. All of the guns listed are fast, light, air efficient, and don't chop, so it really comes down to personal preferances.

Good luck!

Yes, I have the air systems. I have been planning to get a high-end gun now for about a month. I that time, I bought all teh little thing need. (air, ASA, etc.) The hopper is a empire reloader (the revy lookin one) its fast enough, but a P.R. modded halo is in the future.

Meh, I'd say go shoot em all, and whichever one is fastest, grab it. I'd say Viking, DM3, Intimidator if it was me buying though.

One of the fastest guns I've shot was a Fly converted 04 speed.  Oddly, it seemed faster than my Joy flies.  I suspect it was due to being teched by a Master Tech.

Thanks for teh help.
I ruled out the DM4, Dm3, and added a viking or excal.
New list:
Flied speed(still top choice)
05 speed
Proto
viking/excal

Vikings/excals are fast, but the weight and height of them turn me off.  As for kids who argue "work out to handle heavier guns", this point isn't valid.  A lighter gun makes for more nimble handling for switching hands, running & gunning, etc.  Every split second can count on a speedball field whether you're bombing down to the 50, snapping, or covering the tape and cross.  If I didn't shoot an Angel, I would be shooting dm4/5.

Viking, if you get one with the strippable anno, you could evauntly get it milled by destructive customs, and that will make it pretty light. Personally I dont think its that heavy anyway

You could get a nice used emag for that much

ummm or

My teammates karni rips, and its suprisingly problem free for a cocker (just dont screw with it)

Used DM4. Looks better then the proto (and more upgrades availiable), can be had for a fairly reasonable price, and is fast and reliable.

I didnt like my excal compared to other guns ive owned, it was slow and heavy, kinda clunky. Vikings are faster but still kinda big and heavy.

I hate the 90° angel frame, so if you get one, make sure its got a 45 frame on it, like a 45'd 05 speed. Flied speeds are nice if you like angels, i personally dont, so id stay away from them.

Used DM4 is the way id go. Check PBN's b/s/t for some deals, there is some good ones out there.
