Ok Forumers. There is no real point to this, but.... When/If the star system is finally/ever fixed, who would you like to see promoted too: Gold, Platinum, or even to Mod status. Discuss. -------------

BTW, I am not able to be promoted. If you look deep into the bowels of the official vault of Mod records, I am listed under the heading (with big red letters) DO NOT PROMOTE EVER AGAIN. The signature is smuged, but looks like Sand....somthing... -------------

Hway if and when the star system gets fixed wouldn't it just be easuer to demote people's ranks? or would that cost too much guesting?
Any way panda man NEEDS to be a gold and Hades should be a plat. Hmm pagen god? well whatever keeps the world turning or forum rather Um I think that hmm who else, i don't know. . . |

Well, I like the strikes because if it
is a small infraction, then the interloper has a chance to get right
with the world again before getting tagged.

Frankly, I don't think this piece of
offel will ever get fixed. Jason is gone with the wind, and the new guy
doesn't seem to care, and neither does Tippmann LLC.
I would not be at all surprised to see this forum pulled in the near future, to be perfectly honest. Why waste the bandwidth, corporate may think. When Dennis Tippmann left and this company became just another "investment opportunity", well, I'll let you judge for yourselves what the state of the state is now. Who knows, maybe they will relaunch with all the bells and whistles, but I seriously doubt it ...  ------------- If I flee, kill me If I die, avenge me |

In 5 years on the forum, I have managed to be premoted to gold around 10 times, platinum twice, demoted just as many times, gotten into fights with every mod pre2004, start a forum uprising, and nearly get a Tippmann employee fired. -------------

Deffinately Hades for Plat and Panda for Gold. They both rock.
I also want to hear the story. It would be cool to be able to give stars out and all, but I also think that with everyone stuck where they are, it's cool, because there's more intermingling, and the groups don't stick to themselves(for example, you'd rarely see plats/golds doing anything but bashing on people outside of their own forum). |

Actually I think that I might have a decent solution to the promotions/strikes problem.
For those that are concerned with rank status and deserve it, if they wish, they can have their title reflect what rank they are/should be if the star machine was working. When a mod feels that members are worthy of a promotion, the member will be sent a Pm by a mod and asked if they want the promotion to be reflected in the title or if they want to keep the title they currently have. I am hoping the big wigs are not going to put Mother on the chopping block. There was a thread recently about the servers at Tippmann being upgraded recently to bear the bigger load the forum was causing. I hope that is a good sign and not a rumor/joke. -------------

Yeah from what I've heard the regs forum isn't anything special.
Plus when I've checked out topics they aren't super special but i wish i could have replied to a few. So other than that it would remain just the old regs, which would probably be fine considering how long they've been here they deserve some privacy. |

Remember people that it's not how cool they are, but how much they help out here with other people's problems. Youmont should also me a mod. I think he's be a great one. I thank you all who want me to be gold I feel like I belong here agian. I'd feel diffrent as a Gold though if it did happen while everyone else just... stayed around.. I'd feel like the guy in the office who got the big promotion, but now has to leave all of his old chums. (sorry I've been acting wierd latley, but man... 2 job thing is starting to take its toll on my social life hardcore(well, the somewhat one I had before my new Job) I think we got plenty of Mods... _TT_ sacrificng his Account for Seb was thee most outright generousity I've seen in along time.(that showed how much the 'real' _TT_ cared for this forum) Just on the subject of some one becoming a Mod Hades would be very.. very... intresting the first week... oh god I gringe at the thought of some of the new Titles would be... <shutters> But lets just say one Mod position was up for grabs... it would be too tough a choice to make soley by the other mods.... I mean we got so many people on here that act mature when they want to... Choop, Darur, Prod, youmont, Hades, etc...(the list can go on for several more names). I've noticed that latley we as the forum are acting we used to... The flood of the new people was so new for some of us we didn't really know how to react to it... but were managing to fit the piceas together, and tie that former family knot like we used to have... If there is a Mod position up for grabs, I sure as hell dont want it...(unless its for KRL15's account then I'd pay some of you for that account ) -------------
