I got my 98C a while ago and I still have the stock barrel for it. I mostly play Woodsball, but in the winter I play indoor. I don't really like the flatline because you have to buy paint at the place I go and the paint  sucks. It could have been that the barrel it's self was broken in some way, because I saw a few flatlines out there. I want something that will get me distance but also accurate, I can care less how much noise it makes.

Thanks everyone.

A J and J ceramic is a great all around barrel as well as The Lapco Bigshot.

I would say the lapco runs for around $50 and the J and J for $40.

j&j ceramic is an excellent choice, it's what i run on my 98c. i've used lapco bigshots various times, and they too are good. however i prefer the j&j ceramic. 12-14 inch is a good length.

How much more distance will I get with it, because that's what I'm mainly after.

^^ all barrels will shoot pretty much the same distance.  The only barrel that adds distance is the flatline but you dont want it.  J&Js and lapcos are good so i would go with one of them.

I'd go for the All American. It won't add any extra distance but will be a lot more accurate.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Heyya!

I've found for a budget barrel, the Lapco Bigshot, J&J Ceramic, and Custom Product 1-Piece all preform about the same, it just comes down to personal preferance and a few features. I like all three.

For high-end, I love the DYE Ultralite/Boomstick, J&J 2-Piece, and the All-American.

Most preform somewhat equally, considering most use the same technology, materials, and processes.

Good luck!
