Not bad, not bad, I used to be in the milsim thang but I just put my 98 into the speedball mix so now I use a 32* Icon for woods

How does that thumbscrew kit work I'm thinking about getting one is it good for speed or will it get in my way?

I am planning on getting a mag kit but can't find one. Can you tell me where they are at?

Its great! You don't really need any tools (except for taking off the ASA) and it seems that it gets in the way when you first get it, but i got used to it and its easy to use,

the barrel is great. Its like a cooler looking flatline. I tested a flatline 98 custom and my 98 and they were almost the same. They flew very far, they were accurate and the one i have is better in a way. Its easy to take off, its easy to clean and it makes your gun look like an M-16.

I've never understood why companies sell these things and
say they make your gun look like an M4. The M4 is a
rather tall, very compact weapon. A Model 98 Custom is a
very skinny, and somewhat long gun. Therefore, putting an
M4 forgrip, carry handle, collapsable stock, and front
sight on a M98 doens't make the M98 look like an M4. It
makes it look like a really heavy M98. If you squint at
it, it sort of looks like an M4 that was run over by an
Abrams, and the gun got all squshed and elongated. Or
maybe the picture was taken with a wide angle lense, and
it just looks warped out of length.

The M4 has very distinct design fetures, and it is esilly
recognizable because of them. Putting M4 parts on a M98
just doesn't work because the basic design of the M98 is
completely different from an M4. So, in order to make a
M98 look like an M4, it takes a lot more work than
slapping on some parts. It takes modification of these
parts, so that when they are put on a M98, the M98 looks
like an M4, not a M98.

Not to flame you or anything, I just don't like all these
parts you can get from different places, that make your
gun look like a stretched out version of the real thing.
As far as slapping M4 parts on a M98 goes, 9/10. Get a
mag kit, 10/10. Nice gun. As far as making your gun look
and feel like a real M4, 5/10. Modify the parts so they
look like an authentic M4, 10/10.

BTW, wher did you get your front sight? Did it come with
the barrel? Anyway, nice gun.

I kinda agree, you would need an A-5 for an M-16 kit to look better
