i have a model 98 its setup with a palmer reg ,lp kit, flatline barrel, drop forward with a on off,and a 68 3k nitro tank with a preset reg at 850 psi. My problem is when i set the velocity to 300 fps (like the instructions say) then use the velocity screw to fine tune it (turned all the way out to start) ,it does nothing. I can turn it in all the way in and it doesnt lower the velocity. So what i have to do is to turn the reg down to bring the velocity down to 280 ,but sometimes the gun wont recock and starts to burp. Any help would be great.

Check your valve screws, make sure they are there and they are tight.
Also, listen for leaks.
