| not that i know of... my friend took a wicked hit to the neck and was fine... only thing people die from in paintball is the occasional flying tank... i think it only happened like twice so you basically safe...more likey to die golfing |

I heard about 2 deaths from the co2 canisters flying off. And some blindness from getting hit in the eye. But never heard of anyone dying from getting hit in the neck or throat. -------------

some kid died from taking a paintball in the eye point blank that is the only thing i can remember about getting shot and dying..but it is very very very very rare ------------- 98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. ive never heard of someone that died from a neck shot, but ive seen people get knocked out by em. i had a teammate who got all sloppy on a entry slide and he took one to the adams appple area...knocked him out cold for a few minutes. he was fine after that...but ever since that day i haver never played without a neckguard. ------------- Dust Black/Red DM5, Ultralite Frame, Ultralite Barrel, Orange Bolt Kit, Virtue Laser Eyes |

Thats not how it went. Some kid left his gun of the table. Someone bumped into the table, the gun went off, and hit the kid in the eye. The kid had to have his eye removed. He didn't die. (I hope I was thinking the same thing as you.) |

It happene in Belleville IL with a talon the kid didn't put the CO2 on right and he started beating it on the table and mistreating it cause it wouldn't work and it discharged into his eye when he looked into te barrel then the parents filed a lawsuit and got PWNED by brass eagle in court becaus it was the kid's fault -------------

There was a death ,last year ,somewhere up in the Northeast I believe ,maybe even Canada . Police were Quelling a riot , and a kid (who wasnt even involved) took a point blank eye shot and later died at the Hospital . I dont know if solid projectiles were used ,or Pepperballs , There was a post on the subject about 7 or 8 months ago . ------------- SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf . | I have heard of some bad injuries, but it is VERY rare. Death only happens in some cases. It rarely happens and can be avoided mainly by paying attention. You should be safe if that's why you asked this question. |

| I don't wear alot of padding, because in Texas where it hits 114 degrees fairly often in summer, that's crazy. But I also don't want to take a chance on having to go to the hospital with a PB injury. At the very least I like to have something covering the front of my neck. The back I don't really care about. I have a friend who got whacked in the balls...ouch...but typically your zipper covers that problem. |

LOL! Just yesterday I hit 2 kids in the throat at a paintball place in
WI, and they were fine. I had like only 260 psi going, but its
very unlikely to hit someone there, and the chances of dying from that
are very slim.

i saw a nasty neck shot last time i played t stonemak in pa...a kid with a rental had a ref run over to him and do a paint check and he shot the ref from like 6 inches away

Fear not death.
Co2 tanks unscrewed properly can result in death, I also heard of a breast bone being broken and collapsing a lung, resulting in death, but I don't buy that. HAve a good day. |

the only death caused by paintball that i remeber was someone unscrewing a tank and the tank regulator stayed in the gun and the actual tank shot off like a rocket. -------------

A shot to the neck can kill somebody? I suppose it can happen, but the only incidents I hear of people dying is when a renegade Co2 tanks goes bananas and conks somebody on the head. I guess if I personnally died playing paintball, I died playing the greatest sport alive. |

I been shot in the neck before. Twice in one game! It was the most painful thing ever, and my whole neck was numb. Also I had these big whelts that made me look like frankenstien. The dude that shot me was no more than 10ft. from me, but Im still alive. ------------- ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME. |
