I've taken BASIC and C++ as classes, but lately I've been teaching myself Visual Basic. It's pretty sweet, and really easy to use. (I use Microsoft Visual Basic 6.) I just really like programming and was wondering if there's anyone who's any good with VB on this forum.. -------------  irc.esper.net #paintball |

I don't like VB much, too slow. Although when I did it, I was fairly decent -------------

I never saw a point to it really. Its not powerful enough to make anything worthwhile. Im a big fan of languages that have immediate use without 90 pages of declares and initializing. Like PHP -------------

Ugh, PHP is proving to be a nightmere to learn. If I learn Interactive C first will it be easier? Havent tried VB, but I'm pretty good at C++. I took a class on it last semester. ------------- Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good. |

Same, since I'm not in any programming classes and there's nothing I really need to code. The only thing I could possibly think about coding is a decent media player. -------------

Yyyyeah..It's just like..I really can't do anything visual with C++, and I was able to get VB 6 from my friend, so I figured I'd learn it, as I already know some QBasic. I just like to make dumb programs to kill time, but I know how you guys feel. It's hard to be inspired to make anything useful. ------------- irc.esper.net #paintball |
