i was wondering whats the fastest anyone has shot with there 98 custom? i hit 16 balls a sec. on monday i was wondering if you can get any faster i know thats fast for a 98 but i am just getting in to this sport and i love it mods. are port and polished internals and port match with the elbow apache attack loader (20 bps)of course an r/t trigger custom paint job red to purple to blue thunder pig 14 inch barrel |

pretty funny...no way you got anything close to 20bps...heak a timmys only designed for 23 bps. Esspecally a mech. Keep dreaming guys you can't tell me your pulled that on a tippmann. RT or not no way your going anything remotley fast. On top of that unless you have a halo with a ripdrive your not even going to be able to cycle that fast. ------------- TPA Revolution! (20 can be done, but you need two things... A double trigger, and the "how to" know how to let loose on your response trigger. Try adjusting the "knob" in lame terms to get it as high as it can go) |

I don't really care how fast I shot. One paintball is all it takes to hit him. It shoots fast enough for me. If I hit about 5 bps I'm fine with it. If I get 2 bps I don't care. As long as I hit him.

I got 20 with my turney gun, its a 98 custom pro electronic, i had an evolutions hopper, so it had no problems feeding, i seriously doubt you would want any faster, it would be inpracticle. you should just stick to what i do i use a semi auto 98 and get one shot kills, its simple bigger barrell and compressed air, its makes your gun so accurate ------------- Tippmann 98c 21" warpig barrel response trigger longbow air thru stock evolutions II hopper simmons f/x 4 power military style scope 32 degrees sight rail |

ok did'nt mean to start any fights from my first post but i ment when firing balls not dry firing and not chopping paint but this being my frist gun i love it i did all these mods before even reading anything but i wish i could have seen the model98.net site sound cool not that i would be shooting 16 bps every time but it's cool to be able to if i had to hold a guy at his bunker.... |

Yeah his calculations were correct and the answer is correct, but it is not the answer to the this question. The question was whats the most balls in one second you've ever shot. By just pulling the trigger once you have 1bps. EDIT: Actually never mind the question is ambiguous... No, you suck. Max cycle rate on a 98 is low 30cps... So anything under that is possible. Tigman's 98 w/super RT mods has been Goldwaved to 24.5cps. Any super RT modification can easily get over 20, loading it is a differant story though. Iv probaly posted this on this thread already... but I can hit 20bps on my 98RT, yes I have a Halo B. Iv walked 14bps with my mag (mech, over a chrono, unmotivated, probaly hit 16+ with the adreneline). And 10bps on my old mag single trigger. -------------

LMAO! you can get past 20 bps easy in 5 min (have a qloader or ull chop like crazy cuz is faster than a halo) I forgot the link, but thers a neat mod that takes like 5 min for full auto... Id recomend forgetting the Specops Double Trouble lol... just get one of these, hook it up to a qloader (any regular hopper becomes blender) and let it rip... Look in bst section for a tippman 98 of specops forum, and thers a link on one of them to a thread how to do the mod.. dont use an a5 for this... can be done, but bad idea. some dude treid it on a5, 3 weeks later he still hasnt gotten all the paint out from scrubbing it 10 times... |

noobtacular, refer to the 'Full auto, no egrip, no nothin' thread in the 'ideas' section, enar top of the first page. Trust me, it's well known around here. Up until that video came out thoguh, we all just assumed it wouldn't work. No the debate is about whether or not it has any practical value. I feel from my experience that it does. Others don't. That being said I could convert the 98C to select fire based on this mod, and have the best of both worlds. It means that you are not shooting any paint out of the barrel.
Cycles per second means how fast the gun shoots without paint in it. Balls per second is how fast the gun and shoot paintballs. A gun can usually shoot faster without paint in it. -------------

Out Ran my old Eggy with my E98c and that wasn't hard. I could
possibly reach 17bps in Semi, and around 29+ with Response(of course
that would be cycles).

Whoever posted anything above 10bps with no SERIOUS mods or an e-bolt is completely wrong.
e-bolt= 12bps i will give you that. I got like 9 on my mech. ------------- Sig is WAY too big. |

I out run my egg with my ebolt as well. I had to turn down the bps dial on my ebolt. But I dont think its from the speed its from that stinking elbow. As far as cps or bps max on an ebolt, well we all know they recock via a spring so its limited to that. And everytime I here someone say what the cap is on an ebolt, it amazes me because they probably have never seen one. I have one and I have never seen in my ebolt manual at least, where it says what the cap is. So everything you here is mostly speculation. ------------- GO BUCKS!!! |
