can the pro carbine be run on compressed air? i will only be plaing paintball once a month in a indoor arena so the pro/carbine looks like the one for me as i will also be plaing woods ball and i also like the look of it. is this a good idea? or should i get something else? im not fussed about upgrading to make any gun a mad machine gun with rt's ect. i just want a good reliable gun which also looks and feels good.

thanks for the help

If your stuck on Tippmanns try a 98C they are good for both woods and speedball.

ION is also good for both.

ive tried the 98c and it is a very nice gun but everyine has ine and i prefer the rifle feel on a paintball gun personally and i wont be plaing paintball really till next year as i will save up for a speedbal style gun then, untill then i just want to have fun and enjoy woodsball, but what i need to know is can the pro/carbine be run on compressed air? as my sight only allows compressedair to be used.

many thanks

Don't let people talk you out of the Pro/Carbine. Its truely a great makrer and is one of the most reliable and durable tippmann has made.

It should run fine on compressed air/HPA. Just make sure its a preset, high output(800-850psi) tank.

Yes it will work, but be aware that you will get around 480 shots from that.

I disagree, I have seen a pro/carbine loose parts and did not work. Like that stupid lil plastic site on top. You loose that your screwed. The trigger pull is insanely hard as well. It is a very accurate gun out of the box tho, but costs more than the 98C.

How do you "lose" a piece that attaches to a sight rail and latches in place? Someone has to be the biggest idiot in the universe to pull that off.

HPA on a carbine that your not intending to upgrade much is a waste of money. co2 is perfectly fine.

I agree.  I wouldn't spend that much money on HPA if you plan to just play about once a month.  I would say get a 20 oz CO2 tank.  You'd get more shots.  then you can get an expansion chamber(i think).  If you're lucky you can get a Carbine Overdrive kit.  Right Enos?

Yep Enos has a very nice Pro Carbine.

I suggest keeping an eye out for tricked out P/C's in the marker gallery. Do a search too for post by Enos with pics of his.

Compressed air on the Carbine is a PERFECT match.  The carbine is STILL my favortie marker even after my 4-5 years in the game. Mines NEVER broke (had a worn drive spring but thats just wear and tear).

ITs probly in my opinion the BEST tippy marker out of the box.  It got a GREAT stock barrel and is plety upgradeable for my likeing.  I actually had a upgraded RT/flatline/exchamber/ETC 98c but sold it due to my preferance of my THEN STOCK carbine.

I now use a SMALL steel 48ci/3000psi HPA tank on my carbine and it gets a good 450 STEADY shots off it.  I have a few other goodies on it (read my sig) and in its current setup i can use it for both speed and woods just fine.

great thanks for the help guys. what it is the only reason i am getting a air/hpa tank is because the local site i will be goin to only allows air tanks as they are more reliable than co2 according to them( i dont realy now cos im new to paintball) and because i live in wales (united kingdom) there arent many paintball sites to use your own marker ect at. there is only one place near me that i can use my stuff at and that is still an 2hours away from me, we need to get paintball more popular around the uk it would be much better, there are loads of paintball sites in wales but their only there for the all day packages like you can only rent the gear ect and that gets too costly and its just the same games over and over again. neway thanks for the help guys i think im definitly going to get the p/c now as soon as i can get the money lol thanks again.
