Even though this IS the new player forum, I actually have been playing paintball for a while now.  A couple of years.  But I figured this was a newbie question, so here it goes.  can you adjust the trigger sesitivy for a tippmann marker.  shorter spring?  is there a magnetetic trigger (if not Tippmann should get one)?  I want a lighter trigger sensitivity for my tippmann, and even though I got a double trigger, I wish it had the sensitivity of an ION or something like that for speedball.

You can do a few homemade mods like swap out teh trigger spring for a pen spring.

The best way to get a shorter and lighter trigger pull is to get an E-Bolt.

DOP X-CORE 8 stage x-chamber

i tried modding my tripper using a pen spring. it didnt realy help. it made it lighter while the gun wasnt cocked but when it was it was the same as normal.

I'm not going to call the hospital, because you won't learn anything if I do.

can't put an E-bolt on my Tippmann due to the setup.

I'd just do the pen spring mod.  It will make a little difference.  It did for me.  Otherwise go for the Madmann spring kit at http://www.countypaintball.com - www.countypaintball.com .

There was this really good one I did, made it really short. First, replace the stock trigger spring with a pen spring. Then, put enough layers of electrical tape right above the trigger on the power tube so that it pushes the trigger down right to the point where its the smallest it can be pulled and still catch the sear. Then, replace the sear spring with an orthadontist rubberband or a really stretchy small rubber band. Man, that mod made my trigger pull soo small, it was awesome. Definatley try it.

(wets pants)  Dude...  I love you.  But no, I will not make out with you.  If I can rip this thing like an angel...  It'll make my setup so much better.  Thanks alot guys!   (I have a response trigger on my SAW setup, will that effect the trigger pull, it is a little hard, if so, I'll just use my other basic 98 custom.)  (Yahoo!)  *no animals were harmed in the making of this document.

its hard to get really light trigger pull with a mech 98c...even the mods layman did in his post dont always work 100% of the time...i experimented with numerous trigger mods to get my gun to shoot faster and i had all the problems he warned you about; going full auto(which is some scary sh**), the gun not recocking, etc. the mods layman descibes to make the trigger pull lighter have to be almost exact or your gun WILL NOT WORK, you must have paitence in doin it and understand that by doing this the reliability of the tippmann is going to decrease....this is just my 2 cents and a warning to you in what could happen.

good luck!

You guys are forgetting something important. Actually, a couple things.

He has the R/T. There is no point in having a trigger return spring, as that is the point of the R/T. So stop talking about springs.

Its mechanical still, pretty much all he can do is polish and oil the crap outta things so they slide on each other nicely.

that thing is hard to get "just right"...  it went full auto, then didn't shoot... still working on it with the other tippmann...  (the one w/o the response trigger).

Oh you do have the R/T. In that case theres nothing you can do about it. The hard trigger pull is from the R/T.
