I did that to my friends cocker and the whole gun was frosted over, the
valve was litterally frozen open and started emptying my tank through
the barrel.... he was pissed. |

I had not assembled my A-5 properly once and when I used the R/T the whole marker froze over worse then that ion. I field stripped it and put it back together and all is fine. No electronics =  ------------- Think and give them all you have from the beginning, and never weaken! |

Mmmm... broken onion rings. But seriously, I did that to my tippmann but it was the middle of the winter and I was only shooting 7 bps. An anti-siphon will not at all eliminate this under high ROFs. When you shoot fast, the liquid co2 rapidly boils creating liquid co2 vapor which will go right into your gun reguardless of an AS. And then it can freeze, swell, and crack those polyurathane o-rings and soon hurt all seals, while causing velocity spikes and extreme inconsistancy. Dont be cheap! Get HPA! Meh, either way the Ion wont last long. -------------

Speaking of Ions, my friend has one, and it has been a royal pain in the arse. Literally, because it tore up on him during a game and he got owned. And that isn't frosty at all. I've had my 98 looking like a snowman. |

Ion+Co2= Disaster waiting to happen. My friend got an Ion and used Co2 with it. He didn't have an anti-siphon tank at the time, so he used a remote line to try to keep the liquid out of the valve. It ran great, until we started to get ready for a scenario game. It quit shooting, and we took it apart to see what was wrong with it. The little screen between the regulator and the valve was bent up and causing it to leak. Ion Victim #1 ------------- WAR EAGLE!!! |

Last winter I had my A-5 so frosted we actually wiped it down with a rag and flaked the ice off of the CO2 tank. We then proceeded to the next game with no problems of course that is a Tippmann. |

I believe this is a know problem with the early IONs and has been corrected at this time. I still would not use CO2 on an ION or any high rof marker. I have the new WAS board for the A-5 and have already ordered my HPA tank for my high use days with the CO2 as back up. |

wow, looking at that tank makes me want a beer. that would be nice to
use during the summer to keep cool. get rid of your little air fans in
your masks and just co2 an ion and stick the tank under your chin.
