So I was at work and it was a normal night, all was going smoothly. But it was a bit humid in the concession stand, which tends to make the floor slick. So I was going around a corner and I slipped, and when I was going down my hand landed on this powerbox type thing and I lacerated it. So then I was about to drive myself to the ER (Hospitals a minute drive from my work) but I realized I lost my keys, which sucked, but I was able to find a ride just fine.
On my way out of the building one of the OC's (MiniManager) stopped me and in her thick russian accent "Dave you out of hotdogs" and I said "Shut up, I know! I have a gash in my hand" and then apologized and left.
So then I spent 2 hours total in the ER which wasn't bad. The cut only took two stitches, you could see fatty tissue which was how deep the cut was, but it wasn't to bad. The most painful part was the needle when she numbed the area. So, thats my interesting night.

I thought you said head on AIM, Dave.
I don't feel nearly as bad for you, anymore - knowing that it
was on your hand.

Hehe.
At work tonight, this girl was cleaning the HLZ (Heated Landing Zone, the thing the sandwich sits in before its bagged to keep it warm), anyway, it has been acting up.
Today she bumped the cord and it shorted out and went "POW". I cant describe how loud this thing was. Literally as loud as a gunshot, my ears rang afterwords. Also, it shot bright blue flashes of sparks everywhere.
The best part, the thing had a sticker on it that said "Fixed and inspected 5-30-05, GTG (Good to Go)"
Guess not.

Well dont 100% know but DEFFINATLY a cruiser. I got a few bikes i
looking at. My Mother rides a 1997 suzuki Savage 650cc (SINGLE ) that il probly use till i get mine next summer.
Basically either an older suzuki intruder 800cc. Or a NEW Yamaha
650 V-Star. The Yammy is cheaper on inshurance (surpiseingly) and
i like the feel and look better BUT i kinda weary on going with sutch a
small engein (at least its a v twin) .
Buying price of a used Zukie and NEW Yammy are pretty close and i can
finace the Yammy so i leaning toward that just pending on wether the
engein will be enough. I aint raceing just dont want to be at the
back of the pack all the time.

I bought an '89 Sportster. I don't know if you're intent on getting a
Japanese bike or if you're looking at the price, but I paid $4000 for mine
and I love it. It's very fast and since it's a Harley, it's automatically cool.
It's an 883 so it was a good bike for me (a beginner). My buddy got a
Hayabusa 1300 and he loves it but he started out on an 1100, so it's not
like he can go down in size. You gotta find what you like but I would
advise you not to rule out a Harley, you can find some deals if you look.
What kind of helmet did you get HJC, Shoei?

BMW's are also great bikes, very reliable. Same thing goes for Triumphs.
If you're looking to buy new and are limited on funds, Triumphs are the
way to go. A fully decked out Triumph is cheaper than a stock Harley, it
all just depends on preference and funds.

Well originally i was lookin at halerys (883 sprtsters) but inshurance
for one year is more than the jap bikes purchase price .
The other prob is the 883 (the only bharly i can afford USED) are
pretty NAROW bikes, and well i aint so Narow so i kinda look funny on em .
I looked at triuphs and really like em but there a tad outa my range
still. And BMWs although really nice just is not my style.
The helmet i got is an HJC. I like it and it seems to fit well and i can still wear my glasses.
So after a LOT of thinking and huming and hoing i came to the above
mentioned ones (also like the New suzuki M50's) but there Pricy on
inshurance too.

I only ask that you lacerate an artery. I am not picky, any will work fine.
You should take a month off on worker's comp.

Yeah, you gotta go with what your funds allow. Have you checked out
Buell's also?
I started with an HJC, but a full helmet isn't so cool on a Harley so now I
got a polo cap, (it's just called that because it looks like a polo cap).
I know your dilemma. People tell me a Sportster is too small of a bike,
they want me to get a Fatboy, (like everyone else), but I'm 5'6" and 170. It
looks kind of funny when I get on a big bike, besides I'm completely
happy with my Sporty.

HEHEHE im 6ft 260lbs a Sporty DEFFINATLY look funny with me on it (think clown on kiddie bike LOL).
I dont know the more i think about it the more i doubt a little 650
will evn get my butt rolling. Maybe i better to look at a 800cc
at LEAST.
Like this one

INshurance on thats like $50 more a month than the Yamaha though BUT
its fuel injected and 800cc LOTS more power and looks GREAT.

It does look sharp, although I don't care for the speedometer. I have
always liked the dual kind. Yeah, everyone I've talked to that started with
a 650 say they should've gone bigger. 800 is good, I'm comfortable with
mine, maybe later I'll jump higher. Sharp looking bike, with a few
customizations to make it your own, it'll be sweet.

In todays world with gas prices as high as they are, Cycles are the way to go.

Triumphs pwn. If your gonna get one i would get the Tiger, just becuase
it would be amazing to ride, a litle tall though, kinnda weird to get
up on.
I do think the Buell Lightning is amazing looking, but i will probably end up getting a Honda CBR 600RR.

I had an interesting day. I was at lifeguarding training(yes, im that
cool), and we were running through a scenario, where the head lifeguard
would have members of the YMCA pretend to be drowning, or other stuff.
Well, when it was my turn, they had some 16-17 year old chick run and
"fall" and pretend to have a really bad cut. Well, when she did it, she
really did fall, and her knee landed on a rather pointy rock, that was
a good quarter inch in. Screaming and chaos ensued.
