My RT is working like crap.  I have it on low and it still chops balls.  I think its because i am using zap.  I have an egg 2 so its not the hopper

Ya try different paint. The egg should be able to keep up with the RT.

Ya i know the egg is good.  Its just that when i was playing this weekend all the ball just kept braking and my gun was full of paint inside and out.  I swear that i could have shot around a corner and sometimes it doesn't cock all the way back.  I know different paint works.  I let a friend use it with evil ball and only 2 broke the whole time he used it so it its the balls.

^^^ Basically YWSM

It might also be your barrel

Make sure you have the proper ball-to-bore match

to do this, put a ball inside your barrel, if it goes right through- bad

if it stays near the top (good so far) put barrel to mouth( clean first) and blow, if the ball shoots through you're fine, if it stays, bad again.

I was also thinking it could be the barrel. Where exactly was the broken paint located in the gun? Near the front bolt or in the barrel?

If the majority of it is near the front bolt you truely are chopping. and the hopper is most likely the problem.

If the majority is in the barrel than chances are your just breaking balls and the paint/barrel is the problem.

^^ He does have an Egg though

but perhaps, the hopper is force-feeding the balls and breaking them in the feed neck...

too many un-answered questions

I hate batteries, we should make a hopper like that flashlight, You shake it for a few minutes and it works for a few hours.

Anyways, sounds like if it's in the front bolt area then you are chopping, or your ball is too big, or your ball is deformed and can't make it into the barrel, or like YWSM said, low batteries, or like Bugg said the hopper is too strong.

Or, if it is near the front the bore size is too small and it is bouncing around in there, or the ball is deformed and can not make it out of the barrel.

Or your just a cheap  and won't buy better paint....

As for the not cocking problem lower your fps a little then tightn your valve body screws, If they are not tight the valve may move forward in the powertube which may destroy it.

Get new paint.  You need a good paint to barrel match.  Maybe the paint is too big.  If you have a small bore barrel, and big bore paint you will get chops.  I'd experiment.  Don't give it up that easy.
